(guydesavoy @ Jun. 15 2010,22:11) How goes the house building Foggy ? Any surprises..budget still on track ? (minus the Pattaya excursions   )..
Any local lovelies on the horizon ?
    Hi Guy,
Thankfully things are working out ok as far as the budget goes. Im pretty strict with things here and used to working within the industry in the Uk.

That said the rules here are 100% different and its a nightmare sometimes (99%) with the thai workers as Ko Samui only seems to have the left overs from the 'skilled' workers of other regions.

I feel I've been lucky though as the main contractor (thai) is really knowledgable and does get things done in the end, inbetween hireing and firering of course.

My main objective is to finish the house first so going out on the hunt isnt on the cards that much, so the odd trip to Pattaya has to fill me boots right up...for now (both pairs).
Im hoping to make it to Phuket at the end of the month for a few days for KL's birthday party at C&D's... Budget allowing as the girls there are on a draught too and so hot...

It's very quiet here overall aswell, but I have been to 2 Carberet shows, not really my thing but a bit of fun anyway.. Christy's and Star and have seen a few hot LB's hanging about.
At the end of the shows going out I was offered a 'smoke' on several occasions. Also after the shows a few fly around on motorbikes looking for customers.

Thanks for the update Foggy and glad to see things are moving forward on the house

Actually I was watching Grand Designs Revisited yesterday where a London couple were renovating/rebuilding an old farmhouse in the French Alps..from London and with no main contractor So I think if you are managing the project and have a guy you can trust, that makes the inevitable ups and downs easier to handle

Geez I wish I could be there in Phuket..but I will have to satisfy myself with a quiet one down here to celebrate KL's 40th

Did you exchange a walk-on part in the war for a lead role in a cage
