    1-2-Call Promotion

There's a 1-2-Call promotion that enables you to make calls to any phone for 75 satang/min and texts for 50 satang.

Costs only 15 baht to enroll but you must have a phone with web access. If you don't, like me, you can temporarily put your SIM in a phone that does have web access. You must be enrolled in January and the rates are good through April.

Slightly off topic but does anyone remember the prefix for cheap calls from Thailand to the UK ?

            I think it is 008 or 009 + the country code .

If you make a lot of calls, you might want to look into the card where you can get 2 baht/min for UK landline and 6 baht/min to UK mobile with 'Thailand Calling Card" from CAT.  USA is 1 baht/min. There are a lot of similar names of cards, but this one is the one I have settled on and I've tried them all.  Perfect quality, and you are calling 1544 to start, so there is no charge to your SIM. Actually, it works out that calling USA is cheaper than calling a Thailand number

Here is the card I am talking about: http://www.thaitelephone.com/EN....honeNet

If you are making a lot of calls, then this is well worth it.  I just store an address book entry for 1544 followed by a few pauses and then the calling card number.  when I want to make a call, I speed dial this and wait 15 seconds for the phone to connect then I am dialing the number I want to call.  It takes a few minutes to set up in the phone but paying 1 baht/min instead of 5 baht to call Canada or USA is well worth it.

If you're using DTAC 004 is a promotion they have at the minute- think its B12 a minute to Europe.
