Sleeping pills on lower Sukhumvit

Anyone know a drug store near soi4 that will sell Ambien? I do a lot of long distance flying and I like to have some sleeping pills that will definatley knock me out. Unfotuantely my supply of Vallium is running low and I'd like to try Ambien as I've heard that it has less side effects than Vallium.

I tried all the Drug stores on lower suk today and no one seemed to stock it or didn't want to sell to me. Anyone know a good place near soi 4 that sells Ambien?

Don't know about Ambien, but there is a well-stocked pharmacy inside Foodland, just left after you enter.

And search for a post by TheGame925 inside my July trip report - he recommended a pharmacy on Patpong which sells a large selection of sleeping pills.

I have heard that a lot of drugs are now prescrption only - not sure how many apply to sleeping pills but why dont you just go to a doctors clinic - probably not much difference in price, just steer clear of the likes of Bumrungrad unless you like shelling out serious money for doctor fee's and medicines.

There was/is a doctor clinic behind Cheap Charlies bar in Soi 5 if my memory serves me correctly

Yeah it may be perscription only. I'll give the doc a try and see if I get any joy. Funnily enough even the guy I bought my vallium of last year said he didn't sell it. May have been a crackdown on perscription medicine in the last year? Thanks for the tips guys.

I've tried the whole getting pissed on a plane deal. Passed out succesfully but woke up after 1 hour with a hum dinger of a head ache and only 18 hours flying to go. Not one of my best flights.

As an update if anyone is interested tried down the back of soi 3 and 5. Fuck me the arabs are definatley taking over down there. Strange that you have Nana just across sukhumvit it may as well be half way round the world with all the burkhas around there. Anyway no one seemd to have Ambien and couldn't find the docs Marhdi was talking about but found a little place on a lane conecting Soi 3 and Soi 3/1. Bought some 10mg Valium for 400 Baht a sheet. Not too bad and at least I can fly now knowing I can at least get some sleep.

Approx 4 doors down from KC3 on Patpong 1 is a Chinese Chemis - Pharmacy (Same side as KC3 Direction towards Surawong) open from Noon until Midnight.

Owner is a woman speaks English will provide genuine Ambian subsitutes at sensible prices plus every other sort of prescription medicine / drugs you can magine.

If her brother or younger sister are serving it becomes difficult - ask for the elder sister - I will post the phone number next week - but worth the trip.

I have used her for about 7 years and have a great respect for her and her business.

Further to this- anyone got a sympathetic pharmacy for Ambien or similar in Patts. Not after xanax or valium- I'm not that depressed

mardhi is correct, there has been a tightening up of the pharmacy regulations - many more drugs require prescriptions before they can be dispensed. That being said, you will still find some pharmacies that will sell medications without a prescription.

Zolpidem (generic) or Ambien (brand name) has not been approved for use in Thailand - at least as of last year. That's the reason why is is extremely difficult to find in LOS. Any pharmacy that does happen to have it, is getting supplied through unofficial means.

If you must have Ambien get a prescription filled before you get to LOS.

There has been a crackdown on sleepers for the last few years...too many tourists getting drugged then robbed methinx.The pharmacy at Suk/Soi 4 intersection used to do temazipam/valium,but now say "go see a hospital doctor".

Zopiclone though seems easy to get off the internet. I bought three boxes of Imovane from a HK supplier ( www.unitedpharmacies.co.uk ) a year or so ago,and still have plenty left. Its the real stuff....no hangover,but sometimes forget the first hour of being re-awake. Fast delivery to UK address by normal post,low price.

If I bought a strip of valium in Bangers,would I have a problem with UK customs on getting back home if they discovered it?? I've never worried about the Z tablets,coz they are purely medicinal,but could V be thought of as recreational???

I've done it a number of times with valium and never had a problem with customs. Just put it in your shower bag. Having said that I've only ever bought in 2 sheets at a time. Not saying it won't cause a hassel but it's never happened to me and taking sleeping pills on a plane is hardly selling crack to kids. I think they have more important things to worry about but you maybe unlucky and get a jobsworth.

There is a pharmacy between Nana and JW Marriott (has postcards out front and is open air). I buy Pharnax which is Zanax - 150 thb for a pack of I think six tabs. Normally I take half dose. You will have to ask - and best to write down. Some days they say no stock but plead and say you bought before.
