    Bank Accounts

    I know I am going to sound stupid and even be laughed at as usual but I have tried searching this topic and did not find an answer.

    Can I as tourist in Thailand open a Bank account? What is required to do that? I would really appreciate your help and expert opinion.

      Try Kasikorn Bank (green bank) and use your hotel address.

              Not sure if this helps but. Went to open a account with Siam commercial bank. All they asked for was my passport and a address in Thailand which they didn't check. The process took around 15 minutes and I came away with a bank book ,a
              debit card and a free brolly. There again I have a 12 month O visa and they may have checked this. Best way is just to go in a bank and try .
