Transsexual arrested following theft from English man in Central Pattaya.
Saturday 7th February 2009

At 1.30 on Saturday Morning, Police Major Wittaya from Pattaya Police Station was called to Soi Diana Inn, Central Pattaya to deal with a suspected street robbery involving an English Tourist and a transsexual. At the scene, members of the public had detained Khun Pongsatorn aged 22 who was accused of stealing a wallet from Mr. David aged 50 from England. Both the suspect and victim were taken to Pattaya Police Station where Mr. David explained that he was walking back to his Hotel when the suspect came up beside him and suggested the pair go back to his Hotel. Mr. David refused the suspects advances and soon realized that the transsexual had stolen Mr. David€™s wallet from his trouser pocket who then raised the alarm and members of the public managed to detain Khun Pongsatorn. At the Police Station the suspect confessed to the theft and revealed that he was trying to raise money to purchase silicon breast implants. Further checks on the suspect were made and it was discovered that he had been arrested before on similar charges and he had also been previously arrested relating to class 1 drug charges. He is now behind bars once again awaiting his time in Court.

tho allready commonplace i would not be surprised if incidents like these will be on the increase in the coming months/years,i just hope that this guy had sense not to be too over the top and wanted her drawn and quatered.just to remember he may want to walk down the same soi again sometime..............and be able to walk back again

Good to see him throw the book at her. Repeat offender, nothing but a rotten crook ruining peoples vacation rather than making an honest living like the rest. Good riddance and good job to the first and now the second guy to put her away rather than just walk off which does nothing but encourage this behavior. He not only can walk back there again a little more safely in the future, but so can everyone else. Score one for the good guys.

Then the Thai police are called on to clean the ladyboys off the streets by arresting lbs (not female freelancers)then charging them 1000 baht to go back out again.

That seems to be a feature of many reports from Pattaya  -  whereas the ones from Bangkok and Phuket mostly seem to be prefaced she.

Had one try to lift my wallet when I was walking on beach road from soi 6. I suppose she thought I was drunk. She had her hands all over me in just a few seconds saying I want go with you. The second she touched my wallet I forcefully pushed her away. This is one reason I never drink too much if I going to be too far from the hotel and never carry more than a few 1000 baht.
