Just got back from NEP, alcohol was not served after 18.00, at least not in the "open area" bars, but guess whoever paid enough will serve in the others. Guess bar is closed till 18.00 tomorrow.
A man may fight for many things. His country, his friends, his principles, the glistening tear on the cheek of a golden child. But personally, I'd mud-wrestle my own mother for a ton of cash, an amusing clock and a sack of ladyboy porn.

Big Dog shut off the alcohol promptly at 6 pm and the metal doors were closed shortly afterwards. Quite a few bars open serving non-alcoholic beverages.

Thai Law forbids the selling and serving of any alcohol in restaurants and bars as of 1800 hours Saturday 10 January until Sunday 11 January at midnight - in the interests of clarity - i.e. Monday at 00:01 hours.

I was told by a guest at dinner tonight that some bars and restaurants are serving drinks from teapots into tea cups and mugs - just like during Prohibition in Speakeasies.

A speakeasy was an establishment that surreptitiously sold alcoholic beverages during the period of United States history known as Prohibition (1920€“1933, longer in some states), when the sale, manufacture, and transportation (bootlegging) of alcohol was illegal. The term comes from a patron's manner of ordering alcohol without raising suspicion €” a bartender would tell a patron to be quiet and "speak easy".
