Now that we got the mayo out of the way, here is a good deal for everyone.

Pattaya Beer Garden is on a pier on the bay with cool breezes, high ceilings, music at the proper volume and reasonably priced food and drink.

Pitchers of Tiger are just 135 baht which works out to about 35 baht a mug.
Now PBG could double their prices and still get lots of tourist business but they would lose their repeat year round customers.

Two things many don^t know about this joint.

    1) They have a free somtam station where your girl can make her own papaya pok pok.

    2) Not certain it^s still in effect but Friday is reverse barfine day where they take 200 baht off your drink bill if u leave with a freelancer.

PD, this is an interesting place for the February, 2011 Pattaya group trip!!! I have been to the PBG a few times and like it a lot. I do not know if they would rent the pier for our party but it is an interesting place for the BMs to meet for the pre-party dinner, drink, and get together.

I've been going in the PBG regulary for a couple of years now but still hadnt noticed they had Toilets, until that is on my last visit my other and better half pointed and asked me "Why you no go toilet there?"

All this time Ive been paying 5 baht for the use of the Toilets at the enterance of the PBG

I'm a big fan of the sticky rice and sweet pork vendor in soi 13/2 behind la bamba (hope i got it right) - 40 baht and delicious.

Thanks to the girls of la bamba for letting me know about it.

I use to manage a K-MART in Florida and it was in an area that had a lot of retired New Yorkers of a certain heritage. They use to come in and take all the sugar packets and steal all the napkins. Plus it was all the coffee you could drink for $1.00 so they would buy one cup and take one from their purse that way both husband and wife could drink for $1.00. Cheap is not only in Thailand.

(PigDogg @ Jun. 20 2010,02:56) This guy told me he goes to 7-11 and orders a pork burger for 20 baht.  He then loads up his burger with all the mayo that will fit, goes home and scrapes off the mayo and puts it in a jar.
Sweet baby Jesus I've heard it all now

A sure way to get food poisoning but then maybe he's figured that and is hoping he'll save money on going out , food etc .

Dr Pacman what say ye on this unhygienic handling of mayo

Here is a good deal I just discovered the other day. There is a guy selling icecream within freshly fried dough batter, done right in front of you. 10 baht and delicious.

So many vendors are selling stuff I don^t want such as flowers and gum, it is refreshing when some guy comes up with a good idea and gives people what they want.

Well I guess the same thing culd be done with ketchup or mustard, but guess this fella likes his mayo.

Somehow this is a big leap beyond sugar packets.

Friend of mine owned a somewhat dodgy bar in the States and customers would routinely steal toilet paper.

I doubt there would be greater risk of stomach ailments from Mayo than anything else one gets to eat in LOS.

The unhealthiest aspect of eating all that Mayo would be the high fat content this fellow is shoving down his throat.

Add the salt & fried food he's spreading it on & he has a oneway ticket to heart attack city.

Another example of where cheap equals expensive in the long run. The silly bastard.
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.

I ADMIT that I take the sugar packets I get with my coffee as I normally don't drink it with sugar but I figure that they are just getting thrown out, so I consider it my minuscule contribution to saving the planet ;-)

                              Yes they do but....

I ate there today with a ladyboy...After we ordered I had her ask the waitress about the free somtam...

As it was apparently explained, they do that to encourage the "Single Ladies Welcome" and not really for ladies or ladyboys with customers...

I suppose technically a lady or ladyboy you bring in can get free food, but that is not the restaurant's intent...

BTW...I believe single ladyboys are NOT welcome in Pattaya Beer Garden...Only GGs
