I find an interesting document about feminisation of male ... and maybe in Thailand there are more events closely correlate between kathoey and pollution ... the famous Emmadilemma solutions ?

It is an interesting theory especially with the rampant use of chemicals in Thailand relative to many other nations. But the word kathoey itself has very ancient origins. They are not a new phenomenon. But is transexualism on the rise and if so, is this a factor? Maybe will never know.

It's an interesting article and certainly the fact that other species are being affected by chemicals does strongly suggest that we are also.

But as Jadeite says there is lots of evidence that Transsexuals have been around for a long time in SE Asia.

If the anthropologists are to be believed man started somewhere in Africa headed up to what is now Saudi Arabia and then some turned left and headed to Europe and some turned right and headed to Asia, China and eventualy North Africa.

There are Transsexuals in Iran, India, SE Asia, China and also amongst the North American Indians.
This has always made me think that it's genetic. The incidence of twins, cancer and heart disease is passed on through families - why not transsexualism?

I thought it was really a stupid article; it was about fish and otter roadkill and egg laying males.

And yes Tsism helps populatoin control and also the adoption of orpahns.

I always wanted to be an orphan but never got my wish.
