    So does Foodland and Villa!

Coleman's English mustard or Marmite would be nice but not for several pounds a small jar!

Everything else on this site is available at the local places that ex-pats go to and the one or two things that aren't (for example Branston Baked Beans) all have equally good substitutes either from the USA or Australia.

The pastries and sausages that you see on this site are made in Thailand by Thai people and don't really count. Some of them are edible and most are not.

If you've ever eaten the poison at Big John's you'll know what I mean. This stuff is worse than prison food. Backpacker trough fodder only.

What Thailand really needs is a shop that sells things that are NOT available but that list is now almost down to nothing with the terrific new Villa options that I've noticed recently.

Even American style 'patty' sausage is available AND Oscar Mayer wieners are in stock...

All those bistos and stuffing mixes are also now on the shelves...

BUT _ Still can't get Cheddars, Jaffa Cakes or decent Pork Scratchings and of course... Twiglets!

(I'm down to my last big bag of Twiglets, mate!)

The one great thing about this service though, is that they deliver almost anywhere in the country... (But be prepared to pay!)

Don't worry, stogie, our private supply of Cheddars (crinkly... even better! ), twiglets, and jaffa cakes on their way very soon in TTChang's goody bag from the UK.

I'd better go get some pork scratchings too, as you clearly weren't happy with the Chiang Mai version.  My dentist was, though ... keeps her in business

Got some Rolos, too - but don't tell Naang Faa

                Hey SB,

Do you need some more mustard and Marmite? (Marmite! )

I might be able to manage a couple of jars of curry paste too - but I will have to be a bit careful as I could be close to the weight limit this time.

Best place for farang supermarket food is Tops Thonglor. They even have Monster Munch, Walker's Salt & Vinegar, Prawn Cocktail crips most of the time etc.

Otherwise villa on Sukhumvit is also good.

For meats the best place is Emporium and Central Chidlom which has almost everything, and the sausages are great.....

TOPS (Thong Lo) IS a great place to shop. I used to go there each day when I had an office in Thong Lo back in the old days..

(The restaurant/cafe) also does a fantastic spaghetti carbonara!

I will check out Central Chid Lom for the meat selection and report back, but Foodland does excel at this, too...

Yup and it is not just here. I am unsure of the exact laws on this in Thailand but there are many regarding fresh produce and food between countries.

Of course many laws are not too heavily enforced for one reason or another, which is why you still see litre bottles of aclhohol you can't buy here on shelves of bars.
