Hi people,

I'm a new member and visiting Thailand BKK & Pattaya end of this month..I'm curious to know some current(approx)prices for mainly Bangkok but Pattaya as well if you have the info. Prices for Short time vs Long time, bar fines, lady drinks. Also average charges for online escorts outcall vs incall and lastly going rates for the(riskier?)street freelancer. Its been over 10 years since my last visit so some more current info would be greatly appreciated and any advice anyone thinks pertinent.

Prices have gone up a bit over the years.
If you go to Nana Plaza or Soi Cowboy gogo bars the bar fine is about $1000 and lady drinks around $200 or more. Then most of these gogo bars also insist you pay the ladyboy 3000-4000 baht for short time which is the past was usually negotiable. Long time is probably still negotiable but will be a higher ask than before is most likely. Probably always over 5000 for long time. Other than what the bar makes you pay everything else is usually negotiable. Long time may vary depending how long you will stay with them and how much they truly like you. If you are taking them to a beach resort, which I have often done, they may be more willing than normal. I've taken a few ladyboys to Koh Chang for a week and it's good for negotiating.

The lounge style bars like Why Not, Check in or Cindy's etc. are going to be cheaper for barfines less than 1000 and ladydrinks less than 200. I don't think they have a minimum ladyboy fee at any. Freelancers are a crapshoot but I think you can pretty much negotiate anything with them still. There is many freelancer options on Thai Friendly so you don't necessarily have to go to the street. It's sometimes riskier to book someone online in advance. However most of the ladyboys are on Thai Friendly, even most bar girls and escorts. So some possible savings without to the benefit of meeting them first.

Escorts are 3000-5000 for 2 hours usually but could be much more depending on the agency or ladyboy. I've never actually ordered an actual escort in Thailand. The thing is most of the escorts online all usually are the same ones you find in the bars at a higher cost.
Pattaya prices tend to be slightly lower than Bangkok usually.

For years I always paid $1000 - 2000 baht for short time and $5000-6000 baht for long time. Since Covid inflation has hit Thailand for sure.
There does appear to be more ladyboy bars than ever before between Bangkok and Pattaya these days. Phuket still lacking dedicated ladyboy bars I believe.
So the selection is fantastic, maybe better than ever.

Thank you for the reply. .I can remember back in the day thinking 1000 was my rough guide for short time and everything else I desired seemed to equate of that like weighing up attraction, chemistry e.t.c & going from there. I have definitely noticed the inflation in escorts on the home front & over time know there's still amazing experiences and people out there who you can vibe with given the right circumstances. It can be all down to luck & successful communication sometimes. Ironically its easier said than done. Just try remain respectful, playful and genuine as can be Always having lots to learn in this world

FYI I corresponded with someone on Thaifriendly and their rates were 4000thb for and hour 6k thb for 2hrs..Thats with no haggling not sure about negotiating rates, does anyone have any thought or advice?

Sounds a little expensive even with the prices going up some. Sounds more like escort rates. Probably some haggling room there, they often quote high in case you bite.
However you can probably do much better, many fish in the sea.

IF you are going the freelancer option it should definitely be cheaper than that.
You could go probably go to a lounge style bar like Why Not Bar have drinks and a short time for less money.

Traditionally 'Freelancer' means they don't work in a ladyboy bar. Before the internet was popular, this meant ladyboys that work on the street. Normally they would be the cheapest and their prices are totally negotiable as they have no boss, or overhead.
Now there is a few levels of freelancers.
Street level, online level & escort level.
While the street girls can be the cheapest and most negotiable, the freelancers online will often charge more and sometimes much more.
So your mileage may vary on sites such as ThaiFriendly.com where they could charge just about anything. Difference is that you dont' get to meet them first. With a street freelancer or a bar girl, you get to meet them and interact with them a bit, maybe have a drink or check out their stuff.

A street freelancer could offer as low as 1000 baht for short time & 3000 for long time. Depending on the ladyboy, if you get them from the street you could expect 2000 short time - 5000 long time. If they offer too cheap, there may be a reason they are on the street. Sometimes it depends how much they like you and sometimes the street girls are motivated to stay with you even if you aren't paying much due to their living arrangements etc. So you could get a deal on hot broke ladyboy fresh from the country or find a drug addict with no home or anywhere in between. Sometimes bar girls work the street after their bar closes, so anything is possible.

Again with the online freelancers the price and mileage may vary. As there is no barriers to entry other than a computer or phone, most ladyboys are on here whether they work in a bar or are an escort etc. So you can find many of the bar girls on ThaiFriendly.com and many don't work the streets anymore because they can work online. Not as many work on webcams or onlyfans like in other countries, technically any types of porn are illegal but things have been more relaxed since Covid. So often the sex work is their main income.
So the online price could vary but you could find as cheap as 2000 short time to 5000 long time. I think you are more likely to find 3-4000 baht for short time offered and 6-10,000 baht for long time per day. However this is just if you ask the regular price.

Then if you get them from escort sites or agencies, they actually do have a boss and often work in a bar. So technically they are not a freelancer but you are not getting them in a bar.
Calling themselves an escort can raise the price even more. So I wouldn't be contacting an escort agency for long time rates ever.

Long time means all day and often more than one day. Sometimes ladyboys don't like to set a price in advance, just in case that you might give them more than they asked for. If you are the type of person that must know a price in advance then most will give you a price. Often they will go with you hoping for a long time arrangement and most times are happy with what you give them in the end. I have seldom ever negoatiate a price anytime & haven't had much problems. If you set a very high price in advance, you may get disappointed. Most ladyboys in Thailand don't mind proving their worth before getting paid.

My guideline for long time has always been 5000-6000 per day, if it is a shorter term perhaps more per day. Then you can add more if they gave you a great time and good service over your long time affair. If you took them for a week or more they can't expect you to pay as much per day as you might for a shorter term. 30,000 per week plus meals, drinks and gifts is pretty good for most ladyboys. If you go for a famous ladyboy or porn star you may pay much more but often they new eager ladyboys are a far better deal & will give you far more value for you money. Long time with ladyboys from the country is often the best, as they try very hard to please, this is what you find in Pattaya the most. If they treat you good you can add a bonus also at the end. I don't think any ladyboys is worth 10000 baht per day unless they prove it to you first. Never negotiate Long Time arrangements at first meeting or contact.

If you negotiate a long time arrangement before you have even experienced them is not a good idea. Especially if you book them online, you don't want to book 3 days then find out they are really shitty or not attractive to you in person. I never book anything befoe I get to Thailand, you are just setting yourself up for disappointment. The ladyboys aren't going anywhere and will be there when you get there. You can try them for short time then see how you get along and how much they like you and want to stay with you. If you like them and they aren't in a hurry to go anywhere then you are more likely to get a better deal for long time than some escort just trying to hose you for lots of money but little service.

If you go to a ladyboy bar, this is the best for getting to know them first and you have many to choose from. So you can have a drink with the different ladyboys and check them out. Often you can check the goods and make out right in the bar to get a good 'feel' for them. Unfortunately the bars charge a up to a 1000 baht bar fine to take a ladyboy out of the bar and this is supposed to be paid for each day you are with them even if they stay with you the whole time. So sometimes you can take them from the bar to a short time room to try them out and then could offer them to come with you longer after. If I stay with a ladyboy from a bar for more than 3 days I am not going to pay a bar fine every day after that. Usually you can make a deal with the ladyboy to pay a limite bar fine, then they take a vacation from the bar. The bars are the most expensive but they give you the best chance to meet a ladyboy that you like the best. Then you also have some recourse if you have problems with the ladyboy and normaly bar girls have proven their customer service abilities if they are a regular at the bar. Freelancers you never might know their history.

So for your original question of how much for a long time for 3 days?
I might say you could pay up to 20,000 baht for 3 days with a ladyboy, maybe a little less if you didn't get them from a bar.
In Bangkok is going to be different than Pattaya. Pattaya is your best bet if you want a great long time experience for the best price.
As I have said the new ladyboys from the country are usually one of the best long time experiences and they are mainly found in Pattaya.
In Pattaya you will find eager young new ladyboys ready to prove their worth and want to stay with you as long as you will have them, this can be great or annoying if you don't really like them too much. Usually these ladyboys will take whatever you think is fair in the end.

• Don't book long time in advance.
• Don't negotiate a price for long time if you don't aren't sure the length of time, and especially if they seem extra eager.
• Definitely don't negotiate a long time price until after you have tried a short time session with them.
• Consider how much they like you and how much you like them, if you sense insincerity they are just money grubbers.
• Think about other factors such as what you are doing for them, for example offering to take them with you to a beach resort etc.
