Well work is progressing rapidly in phase 1 - so rapidly Jay reckons the builder will have phase 1 finished within 4 days !!!!!
They are currently painting and plasterboarding up the original entrance and about to lay the new floor once the paintwork is done.
So I took the opportunity of doing a before and after shot.
Today the first pool table arrives and will go into the main bar until they break the wall between the bar, at which point it will move into the new space - in the meantime, 2 sofas will go into temporary storage to allow space for the pool table.
So this is the space before re-modelling and the wall will be broken where they have been colour testing with different stains and paints behind those bar stools.
Well it was a bumper night with the new pool table , which is in the bar proper right now , a very temporary home , until the new area is done next week some time .
But a great night of fun and games , all the girls seem to come to life , i didnt see anyone sleeping all night .

For any of you guys who expressed doubt about the addition of a pool table - I just wish I could have filmed Guess Bar for you last night. It was amazing. Activity levels were high, and the sight of Jenny playing pool (and doing other things atop the bar) with only a thong for coverage .... was ....
.... nearly as entertaining as watching Pear (same dress style) climbing on monkeyman.
All this in the one existing room, but the new room is large enough to make a split between 'activity' and 'lounge'. I know that Jay doesnt want to lose any current supporters by a complete change of style.
(brocklanders @ Aug. 18 2007,00:31) Dont put in pool table just because a couple wankers would rather play pool than sit and talk to the ladboys and feel them up.
i'm proud to be one of those wankers - having a shirt embroidered as we speak - and look forward to making jay's decision as profitable as i can.
i do however feel bad for those who can only talk to and feel up the talent while seated with a pillow in their lap....
"oh, here ya go sweetie, let me show you how to hold that cue..."
good times.
Well my spies tell me work is progressing on schedule in Phase 1 - the painting is completed and so now all the horrible wood on the walls (which MUST stay, according to the owner) has now been stained a very very dark brown so that basically with the lights on you dont even notice it .
The floor is being put down today and they expect to break through to the original bar tomorrow before the bar is opened. Bar remains open as normal.
Once that side of things is complete the first pool table will be moved into the new space (as will a second in the coming weeks) and for the time being the sofas will remain in their current position in the main bar. Unfortunately Jay has got it in her head that she feels and customers have been telling her to keep the sofas in the main bar Personally I think that's crazy but who am I to say anything - feel free to let Jay know your own thoughts about where pool tables should be situated. FYI, the pool table has been an outstanding success already with revenue already substantially up since it came into the bar.
Once thats completed, Phase 2 will commence which is basically re-styling the new space as time and money allows, sorting out the sound system etc.
its actually quite cheap to make footrails....
we did in "my own bar" for less than 5000baht...
we had a plummer to make it from waterpipes 3/4" and some "holders" drilled to the floor....as people use them they are kept shining all the time...
so i also wote for footrails.....
all the ladyboys i know laughs when we have sex.....no matter what book they read
