Thanks for the offer, Kahuna... As usual; magazines and paperbacks that you'd otherwise throw away are a Godsend to us expats so if you go a spare place for anything like that it'll be worth dinner at Bully's Pub!

I'm secretly glad the thread got hijacked. It's diverted attention away from the fact that no-one's coming to my saddo party!

just booked my bkk arrival for 1st september and will happily stuff a few books in the bag for your b-day -- unfortunately i don't have any LARGE PRINT but if you have any preferences in fiction - detective, mystery, spy, literary, let me know and i'll dig thru the piles and see what i can find. along with that hardcover copy of bangkok haunts i promised to pass on.
...and i was just thinking that for those who hate pool, maybe a mini-lending library might be a nice addition to Guess. *not* that we wankers would read anything, but a "librarian night" might be fun.
