i finally went.
easy enough to find based on the description in the threads here.
in all honesty it was smaller than i thought it would be. and quieter.
but designed real nice like a real lounge.
actually been in there twice.
1st visit: only jay and one other girl at the time, though in fairness it was 11 on a weeknight and i think girls were all barfined. so i had a drink, bought jay one ( she didnt think i knew she was boss or that i could speak thai) and went on my way.
2nd visit: almost midnite or so on a weekend night. only 2 other customers in there. jay, the mgr. coco, a polite bartender guy (finally! decent staff!) and there were 3 or 4 girls on the couch.
great boots- part of the uniform? one girl was a bit forward, at the time i wanted to ease into it, but in retrospect i'm glad she brought me out of my shell.
i gave in and bought her a drink and we sat on the couch. she (joy) was hot and fun and into it. i now am in the 'pillow' club.
i barfined joy and left the waitress 100 baht tip. more than i normally do but she was instrumental in the pillow placement.
i took her upstairs to the short time hotel, 350 baht. it is as others describe here, way above the standards of st hotels. big clean nice. they must be psyched about the new business.
this girl was a trooper. really into it.
so overall: this bar is an alternative. as long as you think of it as that, you will like it. is a small quiet bar. an oasis in a desert of typical nana and p-pong style bars which copy each other and dont care much about the customers.
guess bar doesnt have the energy or life of the nana bars, but thats not why you go there. you go there to chill. i will include it in my rounds but it wont completely replace the dirty loud bars. all have thier place. that being said i havent been in earlier when it may be busier?
glad its open. try it.
