I don't want to cause a shit storm or seem offensive by asking this question but now that you've broken up with Jay why do you still promote Guess above and beyond any other bar in Soi 4?

Why do you feel this is important? If the bar is open and trading with good vibes and happy customers and staff what is your angle on this? Mine is to try and help the bar get back on its feet - I have no ill feeling to Jay but I sure would miss having a bar like Guess in which to spend my money while in BKK. I suspect that is the angle many Thailand residents are coming from - despite its flaws its a much better place to chew the fat than anywhere else in BKK, least of all the other LB bars in Soi 4 all of which are gogo's and totally different concepts of bars. I cant recall the first or last time I ever asked a mate for 'a chat' or 'catch up' in a gogo bar in BKK - sure we may well end up there later - but its not where I would arrange to meet a mate and have a chat about anything.

I agree that the Guess Bar is a great place to catch up with others and that it offers something different from the other venues in the area. I have been there many times myself and used it for that very purpose.

Why do I ask what your interest is in this bar?
Maybe you might have a financial interest in the bar? I'm sure it would be no skin off your nose to inform other BM's of this? There could be many reasons of which only you could say.

My reasoning:
I've just noticed that every time someone says something that puts the bar in a negative light you usually respond with a counter argument to point out its' positives. I assumed before that you were doing this because your GF was the boss of the bar but now that this is no longer the case I wondered what interest you may have?

This is not a slag at the bar at all, or at you for that matter. The bar is a great place and you seem like a reasonable guy. I just wanted to ask the question as to your reasons behind always flying the Guess Bar flag?

How are allof the bars doing as for customers at present. In April before I left it appeared to be very slow in all of the bars along Soi 4, has it picked up or is it still slacking off.

I had a rather weird experience last time I visited Temptations , I visited alone with no TT Chang to guide me , I was looking a post op who works there but she was missing that night .

On sitting down and ordering a beer a ladyboy sat beside me and greeted me with "You look like a guy who likes to smoke ice ?"
Whilst I have to applaud her highly original opening line , (sure beats hansom man ) I was for once some what lost for words .

She sat winking , smiling and twitching all at once , I downed my San Miguel in a couple of gulps , declined her offer as it was a Sunday evening , made my excuses and left .

Actually I hardly comment about the bar these days as I am very rarely in BKK, albeit I have been for a few days in the last week. Nor do I comment about venues in Pattaya that often as I am rarely in those either. However I have often said comments about Ezy bar (one which I do visit every now and again and generally in a positive light). I am beyond casting 'negative' views - as I think its very subjective. I have an affinity to Guess Bar in so far as I have helped Jay to shape it, however that is far as it goes. I dont want to see the bar deteriorate anymore than any other bar I like.

As to ownership issues - well I am sure you will understand when I say I dont talk about my financial interests with anyone who is not directly concerned with it - i.e accountants and tax advisors. You can assume what you want from that but I dont discuss these issues period. Hope you understand and equally were we to meet, that the last question I would be asking is "whats the balance in your checking account and which shares do you own and how many." - equally I would not be asking do you own shares in any gogo bars, or strip shows or etc etc etc - hope you get my drift. Frankly I have no interest in that nor am I going to be disclosing my financial interest to anyone on an internet forum or indeed in person.

By the way, Just to keep this in context the bar has just launched some promotions to try and encourage tourists back with much lower prices - my bin shrunk considerably. Personally I think this is a move to be commended - I have not seen it anywhere else but at KC3 of all places (and I commented on that also). So far I have seen nothing from any venue in Pattaya about lower pricing. Apart from the fact they have posters all over the bar is not really hard to miss them LOL. Especially as every girl keeps saying "wow you win game of pool, now can ring bell just 1000b for every lady have drink "

I actually thought you may have been a part owner of the bar, that's all. I didn't think this was a big deal to ask as many bar owners promote their businesses on this forum ie Ezy & C & D's. I was never asking about your financial situations so I think you have got a bit defensive here and jumped the gun in regards to this matter. There was never any reference to your bank balance.

It was an innocent question about your interest in the bar, which from the looks of your post above, you have blown out of proportion.

I miss the original Guess Bar and am happy to hear that Soi 4 is looking better. Soi 1 was an important part of my early "ladyboying"

Asking a question on a Forum about a certain tendency to post on a certain subject in a certain way, can hardly be equated to asking someone in person in a personal way about their personal financial arrangements
