never had a problem and continues to surpass the other Nana bars . Only thing is ,some of the girls would be better as service girls and thats it ( if you know what i mean )

Yep,true enough.

NEP is a different kettle of fish though....a tourist attraction,ultra-competitive,commercial to the power of ten and bold as brass.

Guess is a little off the beaten track,hiding away in the corner of a car park.There's no need to steamroll the punters into making an immediate decision.I would imagine for most,it's a destination venue....,pre-planned,pre-selected.

In Nana,they try and haul you through the curtains,knowing that if they don't,the touts at a neighbouring bar will.

At Guess,it's unlikely that you dont want to be there! And first impressions do count. If you are made to feel uneasy (as I was),then you are gonna be on your toes in a flash.

Anyway,the criticism is mild....more like an observation,perhaps in the hope that someone somewhere might make a mental note to stop the pouncing!

Bangkok style is to pull push poke grab and cajole. Seems a bit out of place at the Guess though.

I think some of the guys are being a tad harsh on the 2 posters who thought the bar wasn't what they expected it to be.
                      Some people do paint a rosy picture of the place, and then newbies go down there are disappointed, then make a comment about it and then get slated, and then round it goes again.Some nights its gonna be shit, other nights its gonna be good.
                       These type of bars aren't really my thing I find them a bit dull, I actually like the chaos of Nana but thats just me.
                       Seems to me like you just need to find a way to handle a crowd of hookers hassling you. Easy!

I can se both sides of the coin- I have my drinking bars and shagging bars ( It's a hard life I know) Once your face gets known the staff know what level you are at and temper themselves accordingly. A new face is always going to attract more attention than a regular until they get the measure of you. I agree it can piss you off but there's not a lot we can do about it.
