Speaking of Franchis (aka IceHaze), I was speaking to a friend of hers (Aleera22 on alt.com or adultfriendfinder.com) who told me that Franchis is now quite ill...not the big A, but some form of cancer. Hope that isn't malicious gossip but if you can't find Franchis around, that may explain it.

Actually, the local Singaporean girls (including Franchis's friends) who used to hang around out the front of OT seem to have moved as the stairs that they used to sit on have been blocked off at night by the shopping centre management. The big Malay girl with the boots and stockings is now generally hanging around the department store (Isetan?) on the corner near the McDonalds. There are still generally a couple of local LBs out the front of OT itself but I find the quality can vary quite a lot.

For what it's worth, if you're the type who likes to have his pick of girls as opposed to being grabbed by a girl as soon as you enter the bar, I would skip Romeos and go up another level to Crazy Horse. Although CH is a mix of posties, real girls and the odd pre-op, it's a lot bigger (I'd say twice as big) and although the girls will come up and ask you to buy them a drink, most of them will leave you alone if you tell them you're looking for someone else. Romeos is a lot smaller and I've noticed that the girls who work there are quite aggressive...they'll get quite stroppy if you tell them to move on.

I think Romeo and CH are as bad as each other, aggro wise, at least in Romeo you can go in the back door (no not that one!) thus avoiding the attention of everyone inside who are, invariably, looking at the front door.

Thought I would report a very dodgy experience I had with a Singapore LB on Thursday night...

I happened to be in town for business and stopped by OT to check out the talent. It wasn't my night as none of the LBs working that night took my fancy. As I was walking back to my hotel (I was staying at a place just off Orchard Road) I came across a Singaporean LB calling herself Maria working near the bus-stop up past OT. She has shortish dyed orange hair (looked a lot better than it sounds) and looks almost Thai although she definitely has a Singaporean accent. Anyway, after agreeing to pay $150 for short time, I took her back to my hotel room.

She got me to dim the lights in my room and take a shower - the latter is normal in Singapore (which is as humid as BKK) so I didn't think much of it. However, while I was showering, she spiked my drink and then tried to get me to drink it. Luckily for me, whatever she used had a strongly bitter taste and you could even still see the powder at the bottom of the glass! I noticed immediately and confronted her about it...she lamely claimed that she has been powdering her face while I was in the shower, and some of the powder must have fallen into my glass. I threw her out of my room - she was still protesting her innocence as I tossed her out!

I had heard stories like this before but this was the first time it had happened to be after five years of LB-hunting in Singapore, HK and BKK. Remember guys, lock up your valuables in your room safe, even if the LB you're with seems nice - and if you're around Orchard Road, avoid Maria!

Wow, thats drastic, i'd never expect that to happen to me in Singapore, I've been lucky i guess, and i guess you can never be to careful where money is involved.
I'm headed back that way in july and again in september.

Why oh why do guys still let themselves be taken by these skanks in Singapore. Unless you are chained to Singapore or are so rich as to be clueless and do not give a shit about money there is not reason, in my opinion to ever give these LB's any of your more. With the stupid prices these bitches charge you could find so much better in Bangkok. I guess these Lb's, especially those from the bar scene in Bangkok live by the code of "never give a sucker an even break." Still looks to me there are lot of that type of guy around. Shamefull, just an embarassment to males.

I make no apologies for the fact that i like ladyboys/ts's and have had awesome and not so awesome experiences with lb's from many countries.
Getting used to the lb scene, of course you can get your fingers burnt anywhere, but it's like anything the more you do it the more you learn the ropes. And the same rules pretty much apply everywhere.
I don't think anyone disputes that LOS is without question the best value and has best choice to suit so many tastes on any night. Certainly not me, I love the place, i've been to Bangkok and Phuket many times and had my mind (amongst other things) blown.
But I've also had some average and below par experiences, that have been bettered by fantasic times with lb's in Bali, Jakarta, Sinagapore, Australia, Holland and UK.
My job means i have to travel, which i love, and in the next few weeks i will be in Singapore and Jakarta, with a short break in Bali.
I've no idea when i'll be able to get back to Thailand, so why should i wait? I can afford it, i know the ropes so to speak, and have had great times in these places before.
I believe life is for the living and I might get hit by a bus before i get back to Bangkok so why shouldn't i have some fun where i can get it?
I won't feel like i'm shaming anyone, I pays my money i takes my choice, i do not hurt anyone, so as far as i see there's nothing for anyone to be ashamed of.

If you can't get to LOS take your kicks where you can get them, life's too short, and could someone staple lipflippers lips shut please?

You're welcome to try that if you have the "huevos" which I seriously doubt. Just make sure that you have a good health insurance plan. I will be back in Bangkok in October and November and can be found most nights in Cascade Bar with the Mamasan.
