Lol slimiest means slimy as in covered in goo, YUCK! But I know you mean slimmest as in thin.

Tan you really should consider what's the best rather than just 1 company since sometimes they do screw up, so with the research I did recently:

I think since you're a night owl and you want decent night/ low light shots: Canon S90 is really awesome.

If you want decent zoom during the day for close ups: Pansonic TZ10/ZS7 (its called 2 different names in different world regions but its the same camera.

Since I wanted both I went with this one:

    Some snaps from this morning:

The street during the morning hours (no no ladyboys around here, I need to travel 3 miles to see the closest one)

The neighbors dogs (I wish they'd stop kicking them all the time and paint their fence!)

A max 18x zoom close up (72x zoom is possible with 4x digital zoom too, I wish the email belonged to a lb)

Me being a noob and taking 3 tries to figure out the appropriate shutter speed

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

The s95 is thinner, but not by much

Take a look at the Sony tx5 it's very thin, waterproof and comes in pink and cherry red.

Testing zoom, remember the church cross in the first pic that was filled with noise

Well here it is with no magnification (28mm), the arrow points to a WHITE van in front of the church:

The van now with maximum optical zoom 18x (501mm)

Now behold: maximum optical zoom 18x and 4x digital zoom (505mm), NOW THIS IS SCARY GOOD albeit with a little digital zoom blur!

I'm sure the pink one will work better!

                          Thank you Mr. manarak.

I have actually managed to increase my Optical zoom from 505mm max to 986mm albeit using 2mp (I totally turned off digital zoom since I can't stand the noise blurring)

35.2x zoom (986mm) I wonder if those are lemons or apples or guava.
