I just bought a Panasonic Lumix FZ18 (18x zoom) and I like it

I wanted something better than a compact but didn't want the cost and hassle of a Digital SLR

The lumix gets good reviews as one of the top SLR-Like/Super Zoom cameras. The Canon S5IS is also good


what are you looking for - a compact, Superzoom or Digital SLR?

i just want a point and shoot digital camera. No Gizmos, adjustable lenses etc.

Have a canon power shot now and wanted to upgrade and like the look of the Lumix.

starts up quickly, nice big LCD screen and very good video mode
