Plus, don't look at the list of symptoms for a starting HIV infection!

these symptoms are very general and could apply to any other generic infection, like the common flu.
Also, if your fear of HIV is very intense, your mind can actually cause the feared symptoms to appear (like a fever and rashes).

The only thing you can do is calm down and wait, and take another test in 3 to 5 weeks.

How do you relate to something you took orally suddenly sprouting up around your cock? I'd hazzard a guess that what is around your cock is FAR MORE likely to have come from Physical intercourse than something you consumed orally - the stomach acids are very effective in killing almost any germ that gets into the stomach Incl. HIV.

Equally how do you know it came from the girl in Guess bar - was she the only girl you have had sexual intercourse with in the last say 2 months? As I say, forget this misnomer about what you took orally appearing on your cock - if you have an infection on your cock its come from something you have done with your cock. Its on the shaft and you used condoms ALWAYS - its probably come from oral contact (i.e her or another mouth on your cock i.e. a blowjob). If its on the base, it could be an anal infection - they are VERY common - by the sound of things its not warts as that would have required them to freeze off the warts.

By the way, unless I am mistaken - HIV does NOT produce spots around your cock.

However probably the easiest way would be to explain what medicine the doctor gave you - your not really sharing much on that score and given generally speaking they are the most competent people to assess this kind of thing rather than googling your self diagnosis.

I believe there have been studies on the most common ways of HIV spreading - I dont recall reading ANY case of a oral transmission into the stomach causing HIV.

Its all relative though - odds are most people are MORE likely to have brushed their teeth before the act - hence your mouth and gums are FULL of tiny tears going straight into your bloodstream. I'd imagine that the odds of transmision in this scenario is much greater than through your stomach.

Having said all thats it academic as what we are talking about does not cause spots on your cock

well, i'm feeling a bit more relaxed than before, so thanks for the replies. i knew i could count on you guys for an answer (and some witty banter). i will wait another couple weeks and get tested again.

of course i used a condom for anal and the spots are not on my cock but on my abdomen above it. one of the symptoms of HIV was a rash appearing in that area so that's why i started to worry...also, this happened in the morning and i hadn't brushed my teeth yet, so i figure that shouldn't be a factor.

the doc gave me Virogon, which is a cream normally used to treat herpes (which he said i did not have), and an antibiotic called AMK. been taking them for about five days now.

Assuming that the two events are related  -  the time period of 10 days rules out it being HIV.

Syphilis would appear as a blister at the point of contact  -  so that is ruled out by a rash on your penis.
Gonorrhea does not show up as a rash.

10 days for appearance of signs also rules out all sorts of other things and leads me to three possibilities;-


A non-specific infection   -  but as Mardhi pointed out the fact it's shown up as a rash on you penis when you say you had oral contact rules that out.
You are much more likely to have a sore throat as a first sign.

Mardh's one that it may be a simple skin infection from contact with the anal area sounds much more likely and that being the case the doctor probably gave you an anti-biotic cream.
If the name of the cream ends with something like  ......cyclin  .....xyclin  -  then that's what it is.

Finally there is my favourite which is a very common reason.  You have probably come from somewhere cool or cold to hot sweaty Thailand.
The bacteria on your body that were struggling to survive in the cold had a lovely holiday in the sun and have gone crazy in the warm weather  -  resulting in a rash in the area of your body that gets the hottest and sweatiest.
Again the doctor would have given you an anti-biotic cream.


Attempting to diagnose yourself on a website makes about as much sense as trying to learn to fly with MS Flight Simulator.
Trust the doctor  -  they spend years getting qualified and are much more likely to know what they are doing.

Hi PM, I'm not a Doctor but road runner is on the right track I think.

Go to a chemist and buy "Selsun", medicated shampoo use it and leave it on for 5-10mins before rinsing off. It smells a bit funny for a day or two but works. This kills a yeast that grows on the skin and can be picked up any where, bedding, girls etc. It may leave white spots on you sun-exposed parts but on a covered torso it is just a rash that isn't itchy but is slightly raised. The warm humid weather is great breeding conditions for this common infection.

Don't panic, it's highly unlikely to be infected with HIV from oral sex, unless you have open gums or ulcer.
