a similar thing happened to me some 10 years ago,
and since I was looking for symptoms,I also found them, driving me close to crazy...
      so do not diagnose yourself
there are also hiv test available that are valid within a few days after the encounter
so you don't have to be unclear about your state over such a long period of time..
the good thing might be the statics, saying that an infection is not the general outcome of a sexual encounter
      no more life without ladyboys

One supposes that Doc looked at the scenario anyway

(purple monkey @ Nov. 03 2010,03:55) ...also, this happened in the morning and i hadn't brushed my teeth yet, so i figure that shouldn't be a factor.
I'd be more worried about having sex in the morning with someone who hadn't brushed their teeth yet

Does the doctor know that you had CIM from a ladyboy?
Did you disclose everything? If not, then the doctor is prescribing with assumed information and back to zero.

Saw a dermatologist today. Said that it's most likely herpes but could also be eczema If it doesn't clear up in five days or so. He gave me valtrex and some sleeping pills...hadn't been with anyone else for two months before the bar girl so, if it is, I would think it would have come from her. Am I wrong in this assumption?

Why are you asking questions about your health on an internet forum?

Even if there was a qualified infectious diseases doctor on this forum, how could they possibly diagnose you properly?

monkey, I find quite disturbing that you always try to come back to the question of who passed "it" to you (if something was passed at all).

Read a little about Herpes, especially how much people in a population have it and about its dormant periods, etc.

The doctor probably gave you sleeping pills probably because you are freaking out.
Since you are panicking so much, the rash could also very well be psychosomatic (i.e. caused by your fear).

So relax, take the blue pills, chill out and take the test.

And should you have contracted herpes, it is not the end of the world, about 30 to 50% of people have it.

I think I have it too (unsure), but it never bothers me.

                      Good post.

I believe the percentage of the world that has some form of herpes is even higher. It is not a big deal. If you ever had a "cold sore" around your mouth you have herpes. Also many people have herpes but for some unexplained reason it remains dormant. Other have outbreaks numerous times a year, here again for unexplained reasons.

Monkey, I second Manarak's advice. Relax, chill out, and take the damn test the next time you have an outbreak (if ever).

You are a little tough on the guy - he obviously has something real that is concerning him.

He's seen a doctor which you would know if you read all of the thread....

But I do agree forums are not the place to get diagnosis of a medical complaint.

My status is that I have herpes. I took the actual test and got the results last week. As far as HIV goes, it's been about six weeks since contact so I could go get one this week but I'm still in the window period. I know about the high speed RNA test but I don't think it's available in BKK (at leat not at the hospital I've been going too). If anyone knows of a place here, please let me know.

I know this forum is about having fun but I also thought it was a safe place to go to seek advice from those who share the same inclinations. I was just looking for some answers, not trying to bring the party down.
