Discounts are "sometimes available". But to a lesser degree for those who can not cough up cash quickly, and thereby possibly avoid the police station.

OK, so a farang tourist is not putting cash directly in the hands of a ganja salesman.
If under questioning, a girlfriend reveals that you gave her 500 baht or 300 baht to buy a shirt, or shop at 7/11, or whatever.  
The trouble will be much (or all) the same, as a direct buy, on the tourist's part.

Another point, bribing a "uniformed official" (or any official), or offering a bribe, is on the books, as a punishable offense.
But when they mention money, do not waste any time. They lose face. And the sums, are almost guaranteed to increase, as the clock ticks.

I asked about grass and probably shouldnt have,but in saying that i am well aware of Thai law and the whole corruption scene with the cops.
I have been to Thailand over 30 times in the past and things dont seem to have changed. On my previous trips i used to have the very odd smoke with Kiki who smoked it and bought it herself.
It was smoked in the privacy of my hotel room in the landmark where i used to stay.
I would never in a million years carry it or put any other innocent party in the firing line over what ever i would have in my pocket. I wouldnt have it in my pocket to start with.
If it is there i would probably smoke it but i can take it or leave it.
In this case i will be leaving it. Thanks for all the advice.

Please please read some of my previous posts re my original post.
I shall not continue to explain myself over such a feeble issue that had already been blown out of all proportion.
Therefore my advise to anybody who has problems reading my posts is quite simply dont.
I started this topic asking for some info and letting it be known that i had planned a trip report and the post has turned into a grammer and English correction section.
I will write my trip report as as previously stated will try my best.
Im writing it to be informative to the 90% of members who enjoy reading reports and as for the other 10% if it causes you so much grief to read it DONT.
I thought the issues over my 1st post had long gone but RR who clearly hadnt fead the full content of numerous posts where i felt i had to explain myself. Dont dwell on it and if you have nothing constructive to say or if you cannot provide any of the info been sought dont waste my or anybody elses time with issues that have long been taken care off.
I look forward to everybodys trip reports and am hoping that my writing a trip report (bad grammer and all) that it may encourage more of us to write in the future. Neg comments simply put people off as it leaves them open to critisism such as i have recieved.
Is it any wonder most of the ordinary guys like me usually wouldnt writing a report.
What do i conclude with. I will write my trip report and fuck the 10% of english teachers we have here and i hope the remainder enjoy it.
