I have no love for the Pats or Bill BettaTapeCheck but I'm talking about Brady.

You and I will have to disagree. I've watched the NFL since 1983-1984, I've seen QB's with good careers but choke when it mattered in the playoffs, I've seen superbowl winning teams with dismal QB's, if you ask me who would I rather have as my QB on my 2 semi favored teams - The Giants and the The Steelers and I would not hesitate for a second to take Brady over Manning and Roethlisberger even though both of them combined have the same amount of SB wins that he has.

And as for the field goals, you know the saying, It ain't gotta be pretty, its just got to be a win!

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

(Jake_Sully @ Dec. 24 2010,08:42) A retarded one that thought of him as a backup behind Drew Henson (who?).

But that turned out to be a boon in disguise as he licked his wounds and became more of a team guy vs being ego centric. How many QB's are like that vs the whole alpha male macho in your face thing.
I think you need to check the facts Jake. At the beginning Lloyd Carr platooned Brady and Henson mainly because TB had yet to really prove himself in gametime situations and as a practice QB he was mediocre at best. That's why he rod the pine behind Brian Griese in M's 97 national championship run,

Drew Henson came to M as the #1 QB nationally out of HS and Brady was a 3 star with size and a rifle arm. Their first 2 games of 98 they were spanked by a senior QB from Syracuse that will be in the NFL hall of fame 5 years after retiring and in a rivalry game against the puking irish with blood in their eyes trying to resurect the program for the umpteenth time with a new coach, The first 2 games they platooned Brady and Henson until Lloyd saw that Brady provided the best option, whereas he led them to a Big Ten Championship and an Orange Bowl W and a #5 national ranking.

The next year it was all Henson and after his junior year he was the leading candidate for the Heisman had not tO$U grad George Steinbrenner waved 3 million under his nose to play for the Yankees under the condition that he give up football,

Had Henson of played his senior year at M he may have been the #1 draft choice in the NFL and could still be playing today but to try and leave football for 4 years and then make a comeback wasn't in the cards.

Suffice it to say he is sitting in Brighton Michigan now on piles of cash and assisting his high school alma mater in coaching all 3 sports that he exceled at,

As to TB's legacy he will go down as the greatest QB in this time frame that the NFL has ever seen and will be enshrined in Canton immediately upon his eligibilty. To make comments like "he is a product of the system" and he was "lucky in his SB wins is pure lunacy and shows a lack of football knowledge beyond compare. If "the system" is responsible where is Drew Bledsoe in this discussion and if "lucky" is the reasoning behind his rings then where would Bradshaw be without the immaculate reception and Lynn Swan's heroics?

Personally I see not only a 4th ring in TB's future but quite possibly a 5th as well. And as far as being"dull" I wish my dullness would get Bridget Moynahan and Giselle to suck my cock!!!!

"Gentlemen and ladies, 'Those Who Stay Will Be Champions' is for you too. It's for every Michigan fan that's out there. When the going gets tough, you don't cut and run. It's not the Michigan way. If I heard it once from the old man, I heard it a thousand times -- when the going gets tough you find out who your real friends are, and that's why we must stay. Because there will be championships, and this staff and these kids will bring those championships here."
