Countdown clocks I recently made a comment about this in another thread and the guilty party spat the dummy, even saying he wasn't going to visit a bar. FFS- how childish We know people are coming out for holidays and are looking forward to them but we don't need a second by second account, normally accompanied by posts backing them up. It really detracts from threads when you get 'I'll see you in six months, 4 days', then a few days later 'I'll see you in 5 months 27 days', ad nauseum

Countdown clocks, seem some guys love them and others hate em.

For those who hate them, one idea is to go to Control Panel, then Account Options and shut off signatures. Of course then you can^t see any signatures whatsoever.

My personal pet peeve is guys who say "use the search function" while others guy^s pet peeve is when others don^t use the search. Different strokes......

Btw, if my overuse of ^pushes any^s buttons, I am not trying to be cute.
I^m on a loaner computer that has the keyboard modified that doesn^t seem to have an apostraphe.

It's probably a Thai keyboard which is similar to US and has the wrong language enabled.
I realise you don't what to play around with it PD so try either the shift + number 6 key or else it's on one of the keys to the right of the letter L in the middle row of letters.

When BMs want information but tell the person who actually has the info to "PM me", thus putting the onus on the person who already has what is wanted to take the incentive and do the work.

Further, when they convey this with a sense of entitlement.

Close RR.  It is a German keyboard with English enabled.

So the Y is where it would be on a Qwerty keyboard although it still labeled Z.

Had to use what I think is Control but labeled Fn.

Countdown clocks - I'm with Ivor on this one! Time to turn 'signatures' off .....  shame, cos some are worth reading (mine isn't!)

People using countdown clocks should beware, there are faulty ones out there that when they reach zero they actually cause a small explosion in your computer .

There have been reported instances of peoples screen's blowing out just as the clock stikes zero , by this stage you know nothing about it as you are already on the plane and then return from holiday to a wrecked computer .

I'm not sure where I read this but I know its true .

Its those cheap copies Jim. The last Coundown clock i aquired was from a very respectable Swiss Website and has lasted for years. You cant beat a quality product. Those exploding fuckers are probably Taiwanese.

I agree with TT Chang.. ban Clocks , ban Signatures and ban good news
