Reading some of these stories I now realise what a sheltered life I've led

These are some hilarious stories (and sad ones too). Keep 'em coming!

I just did something embarrassingly stupid over the weekend myself. I was out at a local bar with my brother and his wife. She left the table for a second, and he mentioned to me how hot this girl sitting at the bar was. I had been drinking, and when his wife came back, she heard me clearly talking about it. She flipped out on my brother (she's the super jealous type) and stormed off. Then my brother berated me loudly for everyone to hear. All the strangers staring at me really made me uncomfortable. I ended up patching things up, but I felt extremely stupid. Just one of those moments when a little self control goes a long way.

I guess another time would be when I was a junior in college and I had a huge crush on this girl. We met at a volleyball tournament and had a great time together. I ended up stopping by her grad office a few times to say hello as it was next to one of my classrooms. We spent some significant time together, and one night I finally gathered the courage to try and kiss her. She rebuffed me with extreme prejudice... she had a boyfriend the entire time! That was rather embarrassing for me. Thinking back on it, what a stupid bitch.

Another time.....I went to the toilets in a nightclub ,very dark, could hardly see a thing
the toilet floor was an inch deep in piss /water,so I went into a cubicle to roll up my trouser legs a little so they wouldn't get wet(the fashion at the time was for your trousers to cover your shoes!)
The problem was ,as it was so dark in there,I didnt notice some neanderthal bastard had shat on the toilet seat....of course I sat down on the seat and it all ended up stuck to the arse of my new super cool white trousers!

To compound my misery,I walked back outside to join my female cousin, who was visiting the UK from Chicago,......she was the first to notice the smell!
How do you explain that it wasn't you who had shit yourself!
that was my second most embarrasing moment(I have plenty)

PS-Ive been too embarrassed to ever see that cousin again-even last time I was in Chicago,I didnt look her up.

I think I mentioned recently that I was watching my new favorite tv show "So You Think You Can Dance" (like American Idol but for dancers) and I texted my sister about how amazing this one dance routine was, how moving it was, and how much I wanted so and so to win the dance competition.

Then after hitting "send" I realized I'd sent it to one of my male co-workers instead of my sister, and thus "outed" myself as a dance fan. Not a terribly hetero thing but I laughed it off the next day at work.

Speaking of bodily motions, in a sense, one time my gf was visiting me from the colonies. We were up late most nights...walking around making noise on the wooden floorboards.. I received a letter from my downstairs neighbour complaining about all the noise.

I penned him a note and slipped it back under his door explaining that I was sorry for the trouble but that I had a very embarrassing incontinence condition which required constant trips to the bathroom...

I never heard from him again...and NO I wasn't embarrassed by my 'confession'

I would disagree with this as I wasn't embarrassed but I think my parents were embarrassed when I was a teenager and going through my goth phase. Facepaint, choppy hair with green streaks, wearing all black, mascara. For me it was fun, I still look back on it as fun but I often get reminded of it by my parents how much they are glad I outgrew my foolish phase.

Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care!  But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

On cruise control one night in a hotel woke up for a pee. Got out of bed, turned left through the door as usual and found I was in the corridor, not the kharzi. Just as I ralised my error the automatic door closer did its job. Not a stitch of clothes on or a house phone in sight so down in the elevator to the ground floor to plaintively call out for someone from reception. Hightly embarrassed was let back into my room by the night security guard who said it happened all the time
I couldn't give a shit how long it is until you're next holiday- I live here
