      • I love POUTINE!!! But it has to be made in Quebec and the greasier the establishment making it the better. The best time to eat a large portion of it is at 2am when nobody is ugly. Yummy-delicious! Jai Dee, the next time you are in the area let me know and I will treat you to a heaping portion of the finest. Haggis is for pussies...

First Taco Bell to open in England

Yum! Brands will launch a Taco Bell chain in England next month according to reports, debuting at Lakeside Shopping Centre in Essex.
The fare will be similar to what American diners are used to, with a menu that features cheap tacos and burritos and caters to value-conscious consumers.

Man, I knew you were reading my mind on this one..... I was actually thinking more like 330am; many-a-time I have come down from a perfect night of drinking way too many Labatts at one of the total shithole poutine dives along St. Laurent, just below St. Catherines and next door to the Cleopatra ladyboy cabaret!!

The characters that come walking in and out of those places between 3 and 5 are a rogue's gallery of hookers, homeless, addicts and drunks, all looking for their fix of greasy poutine plates and an ''all-dressed'' hot dog to go; sitting there for a couple hours and gobbling down that garbage is a show in itself!!

Looking forward to my next visit now for sure man, and it ain't far off

Question is, when the hell do they open a few in BKK and Pattaya??

It's for sure just a matter of time.....

                    Poouuttine...mmmmmmmmmmmmm

I've managed to resist it's tempting siren call for months.

Hey steff & jaidee...wanna open a poutine stand in bkk with me? I hear there is plenty of space where Central used to be...

Could offer traditional style, pork or chicken style or Issan style with fried grasshoppers.

                    • The tension between India and Pakistan reached a new high today........   or should that be a new low?

A pigeon is being kept under armed guard by Indian police on charge of espionage for Pakistan.

The pigeon had a ring around its foot, a phone number from Pakistan and an address stamped on its body in red ink.

Officials directed the police not to allow anyone to visit the pigeon, which the police say believe may be on a €œspecial mission of spying€.

The bird has been medically examined and was being kept in an air-conditioned room under police guard.

Local pigeon fanciers in the sensitive border area had told police that pigeons from Pakistan were easily identifiable as they look different from Indian ones.
Obviously it's cover was not as good as they thought.

There is evidence that pigeons were involved in the 2008 attack by Pakistani terrorists on Mumbai.

Please stay on topic Jake, there plenty of other forums where you can talk about Choir Boys

now... back to all things Haggis.
The Choir Boys was a great book, but a lousy movie.

another dish you all have to try, Haggis; I have and it's yummy......still can't tell you what was in it though!!
I ate some of that on my first trip to Thailand. May's sister's husband was a Scot as I'm sure you recall. Some friends from the old country were visiting there same time, and haggis was prepared a few times and I found it rather palatable although it's not a food I would specifically seek out. Scots speak worse English than Thais do. Billy was the only Scot there I EVER understood. After a while, when ever the others said anything to me, I would just smile and nod, having no idea what was just said.

                            Haggis
                            From Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

                            Haggis, neeps & tatties

Haggis is a dish containing sheep's 'pluck' (heart, liver and lungs), minced with onion, oatmeal, suet, spices, and salt, mixed with stock, and traditionally simmered in the animal's stomach for approximately three hours. Most modern commercial haggis is prepared in a casing rather than an actual stomach. There are also meat-free recipes for vegetarians.

As the 2001 English edition of the Larousse Gastronomique puts it, "Although its description is not immediately appealing, haggis has an excellent nutty texture and delicious savoury flavour".
Well well well, you just edified me again. You and wiki anyway.

I'd been under the impression that haggis also included diced up intestines. So, I guess I was wrong on that.

                            Thank you.
