If anyone asked me I'd say Festus was a better singer than Gomer. Also, Ken Curtis was IMO a better singer than Jim Nabors. Matter of personal preference though. Jim Nabors has a great voice, much better than Ken Curtis IMO.
The last time I saw that clip of Jim was on television when he amazed everyone once he started singing.
Notice how he is still doing his Gomer schtick as he walks on stage.
Thanks for the memory Lefty, though I don't know how you can mention Gomer Pyle without mentioning Rock Hudson.
For those who have never heard of him, Jim (Gomer) was Rock's lover for many years.
