And I don't have a source/link. You either know it or you don't. This goes for anyone posting on these types of complex matters...If you need a source it may indicate that you don't have the 'background'.

Better to post from an informed perspective and then an intelligent debate and exchange of views may be possible, even fruitful. Otherwise it's all just knee-jerk posturing

What makes me laugh is that so many people dont even understand the word Fascist..

The regime of Benito Mussolino or the other Latino Dictatorships that copied his ideas bear no resemblance to that of Israel whatsoever. Fascism also did not originally prescribe any Racial element( you dont see that many Latinos with blond hair and blue eyes) either but it seems the Left wing have modified the histrionics to suit there own ends,

I doubt if Israel is objectively Fascist in any respect.

Let facts speak for themselves. Uninformed knee-jerk reactions, be they from the left right or centre, do not advance any intelligent understanding of any issue.

It has been said that in War truth is the first casualty. I would invite anyone to first pursue the truth and look objectively at a situation (this one for example) rather than to simply respond in a pre-conditioned (dare I say Pavlovian) manner.

Sympathy or empathy with the Palestinians is not the issue. That has nothing to do with the incident that has just occurred. For anyone to raise that emotive point when it is so clearly not the issue displays a lack of focus that invites us to take their contribution with the required grain of salt.

As for 'pearls before swine'...there is another quote form a similar source that is more appropriate here :

Thats obvious. Believe the UN observers who said something like 2 rockets were fired by Hamas in the month prior to that conflict were the IDF used white phosphorus on a heavily populated civilian area, which is against international law.

I'll tell you what, you believe what you hear in the media, and I'll believe what senior soldiers from EU countries acting as UN observers put in their statements lodged with the UN after the conflict.

There is 1.5million people in the Gaza strip which is a very dense area. They havent got farm land to grow these crops you speak of and they dont have to money to spend on hydroponics and on top of that, the hydroponics superstore in Gaza has been closed for about 3 years now. But the lap dancing club and casino either side of that superstore are still opening and doing a roaring trade. But not as much trade as all the Subways, BurgerKings and wendys on the same street.

I bet you if you close off all food to there, you'll see how fast they improvise to create it. They'll even rip down mosques to create places for cultivating food. But its nice that you brought up the area is dense. My response.. so what? That's why I suggested hydroponics. It can be grown on top of the roofs. When there's a will there's a way.

You know what, your dead right. They should stop ALL food getting into Gaza to let them improvise. I'd say all the Palastinians will be going down to their local DIY store or Garden Centre in no time at all. Buying up loads of seeds to grow fruit and veg, bags of compost and fertilizer. Building little gardens on the roofs of their house that will never be bulldozed and when all the food is grown from these roof top gardens they will have enough food to feed 1.5million people and still have some left over to export.
