Greenzone torrent turned out to be a bust- starts taking you off to a site to download a codec- it's all a big con. I'll post when I find a good link for it. Others downloaded in between 3 and 5 hours so have an afternoon's entertainment now
I couldn't give a shit how long it is until you're next holiday- I live here

A somewhat underrated movie I saw recently, don't know how I missed it before, is U Turn, starring Sean Penn, Nick Nolte, Billy Bob Thornton and Jennifer Lopez. If you like odd quirky movies with weird plot twists, you may enjoy this one.

Kahuna turned me on to In Bruges, and he is totally correct. It is a GREAT movie. I guess it's budget to be about .001% of the budget for Avatar, but IMO, In Bruges is 100% a better movie.

Clint Eastwood is the greatest American actor of all time, and he may be even a better director.

I agree about Gran Torino. First seen it on a flight, so had to see it again after that.

Kinda subjective quote there, oh Left One..... I'd put my money on Paul Newman myself, he was always my favorite and if you guys want to see one of his better but not so popular movies, check out "Absence of Malice"; his performance is extraordinary.

A thread like this could bring out the movie buff in all of us and lists of favorite movies could go on forever; another darkhorse I'd suggest of ya' all haven't seen it is "Three days of the Condor'' with Robert Redford and Max Von Sydow; classic.

No doubts, man......when you see that for the first time and don't know the ending it's quite shocking and funny as fuck!!

I was just a wee lad when that came out but me Mum let me see it because it wasn't really ''adult'' and I loved it, and could still watch it tonight and have a chuckle; great work from Robert Shaw also as the gangster.

Redford/Newman also did a fine job in 'Butch Cassidy'; again, Newman is the best of all time IMO.

Some interesting recs, especially some I never heard of.

Hey,I thought of one more obscurity, I caught it on the late show one night years ago never having heard of it, or it's B list star Cornel Wilde who stars, directs & wrote (apparently won the Oscar for writing!):

The Naked Prey  Sorry not about ladyboys in hotel rooms
A safari does something wrong & a local tribe captures & punishes them. They strip & give the Afrikaaner guide, Wilde, a head start & then send a hunting party after him. That's pretty much sums it up, a solitary man has to get from point A to B & avoid being killed. Very little dialogue, lots of action I recall, shot on location in Africa on a modest budget, sort of a predecessor to the original Mad Max & Rambo in a way.
