Good for US farmers, bad for Haiti.
But let's not focus on farmers, one could just say "good for the US, bad for the others".
The book about the "economic hitman" (check other threads) is spot on.
Without doubt, western countries have been behaving evilly.
But... can the american or european lifestyle be upheld without keeping many other countries in poverty?
Personally, I don't think so.
Westerners will have to realize that simple factory workers aren't entitled to owning a car, a house or even a TV.
Let foreign agricultural products flow freely into the USA and watch as Us farmers become relatively poor and foreign farmers can buy cars and houses.
