(alan1chef @ Oct. 29 2009,14:37)  One conservative TV station appears on the scene in 50 years of TV and the liberals cry foul.
We could do with one of these In Europe. The Politically correct bullshit that is aired here on the English speaking channels definately needs balancing up with a Fox news .

It wont happen though...it would probably be burned down within a week by left wing students, anti capitalists or another band of do gooders who are deluded that some sort of moral imperitive exists that we should all become good Socialists...

Smuttley, you liberals are the ones crying foul here, not me or any of the other defenders of Fox News. Who started this thread Smutt? Who has been bashing Fox News all along? You see any threads bashing CNN? No...because you liberals in charge of this forum would not allow it. Talk about slanting news...this forum is slanted....way to the left.

Sorry Smut, I am already a chef...and a chief...so drop the childish name-calling...your lack of intelligence is showing.

Al, Either start a bash CNN/other thread or how about we morph this into a media thread rather than a singularly Fox thread. What's with all the false liberals hate Fox? What *I* hate is that Fox is a spinner. What it reports is as much as it omits to tell. It's "reputation" is in fact much bigger than it's real audience which is relatively small. Pretty much along the lines of the NYT promoting WMD.

Much like this pretty little bunch of sites, all Fox audience ripe for the spin like the "tea party" crowd.

Not quite Al.... im no Liberal and nor is the new forum owner, thats for sure. He keeps a low profile and so you dont see him...some of us dont post so often as, unlike the Liberals ,we got proper jobs to go to ( well most of us anyway)

The Liberals seem to be more interested in Politics as and so they post more. However you can start a forum on whatever you like .

          No problem

Obviously the play on words is over your wannabe. I didn't start this thread wannabe........I've just consistnetly bashed your pathetic reich wing rants..........and that is what frustrates you more then ever.

I know the individuals that run this forum wannabe and believe their views generaly run as much towards your views as mine....point is they are capable of voicing them intelligently..........unlike you

I do not agree with you Smutts in that I see the left complain, bitch and moan about Fox. Why?? i have said so many times on this thread-the left has had a basic monopoly in the visual media forever. Fox comes on to the scene, has success (it draws eyes to sets that is the envy of like channels/stations) and I do hear/see a lot of bitching about Fox. So much so that the Dems put up a trial balloon vis a vis the "fairness" doctrine. The Democratic majority has been making some noise about that since the last election. Oh by the way the "fairness" doctrine wants to have a go at talk radio-hummmmmmmmm. Interesting. Could it be that they want to try and muffle those voices?? Thats what i think and it sickens me. We can only see how it all plays out. The bottom line is, if you hate Fox, then dot watch it...............

Bottom line BB is I haven't tuned to faux news since 9/11 and never intend to. Fact is I couldn't even tell you what channel it is on on my digial set-up without hunting for it.

So far as the television news media being slanted left, that is a completel cop-out from the right. When they report as to what a fuck up bush was, what a right wing psycho cheney is and what a total simpleton palin is then the right screams foul and completely disregard when Obama and the liberal heads get scrutinized and second guessed. Just last weekend on Meet the Press Geithner got raked over the coals by David Gregory and do I hear Obama or his administration complaining or censoring the media.......why you may ask? What is the difference, must be a left wing conspiracy!!!!!! No it is because it is done in a civil and respectful manner. Unlike the faux news schills

                      FOX: 'Deliberate misinformation'?
Fox intentionally misleads its audience, says the NY Times' Paul Krugman in a clash with Fox News CEO Roger Ailes. Is that fair?

                      http://www.theweek.com/article....rmation

Best opinion: America Blog, News Busters, News Junkie Post

On a Sunday talk-show panel, New York Times columnist Paul Krugman accused Roger Ailes, CEO of Fox News, of spreading "deliberate misinformation" about the health-care reform bill and other important issues. Krugman also charged that, while the bill was first championed by Republican Mitt Romney, few Americans know that because Fox News is characterizing it as socialism. Ailes countered that "the American people are not stupid." Is Fox's reporting unreliable? (See the clip below)

Fox tries to make viewers think like Republicans: It's frustrating to try explaining to conservatives the difference between Fox News and CNN, or Fox and The New York Times, says John Aravosis in America Blog. They "don't get the difference between trying to be objective and trying to be Republican." Journalism is supposed to be about about giving people tools to make up their own minds.
"Krugman calls FOX News 'deliberate misinformation' to Roger Ailes' face"

Ailes showed Fox just cuts through the bull: Roger Ailes proved the lie in Paul Krugman's argument easily enough, says Noel Sheppard in News Busters. He said we should help the 30 million Americans who lack health insurance without hurting the 300 million who are happy with the coverage they have. That's not partisanship, that's common sense.
"Fox's Roger Ailes Battles Huffington, Krugman and Walters"

You have to admire Ailes for facing his critics: The Fox News chief must have known he was in for a "smackdown," says Amy Beth Arkawy in News Junkie Post. But he faced his critics and even "punched back." He clearly won't back down, at least not as long as Fox News' "rabid talk dogs" are getting great ratings.

Mika on the Media: 'It's Got a Liberal World View;' Every Journalist Should Tell Us What their Political Affiliation Is'
By Chris Ariens on Jan 19, 2010 12:23 PM

As she continues a tour for her new book, All Things at Once, MSNBC's Mika Brzezinski opened up with Julie Menin about the state of the media today.

"I've worked in the mainstream media for all the networks and I will say what people aren't saying. It's got a liberal world view. There are great people working at the networks, and they're mostly democrats, ok?," said Brzezinski, whose father was National Security Adviser to Pres. Carter.

"I think honestly what needs to happen, is we need to stop pretending about who we are and every journalist should tell us what their political affiliation is, who they voted for, and we go from there."

IF the media was "liberal" it would not lie about Israel, Iraq, Iran, Afghanistan. Liberal is not "establishment". That is "conservative".
