Speaking from Brisbane and keeping a close eye on the sports reports in Oz it appears as though it will be a close series. Just spoke to a mate in London and he said that the UK news has the English as front runners.
Australia are still strong but are re-building at the moment so if there was a chance for England to win an Ashes then it would be this one. Not that I want England to win but I have to admit that when we lost in 2005 it was the best thing to happen to the game.
4 days ago, driving around England listening to radio 5...
Stogie - That's not too bad. 370 for 6. Katoey Lover - Yeah, anything over 400 hundred is OK... Stogie - So how are the English bowlers? Katoey Lover - Oh, no problems there. They're great!
(TTChang @ Jul. 06 2009,04:50) ...... But I hope I'm wrong, and KP hits form. And that Ponting drops himself from the Oz team after low scores in the first 2 games.
Me and my big mouth too ...... KP has a lot to do today
(allstar88 @ Jul. 05 2009,16:04) we will thrash the convicts 5-0
Love that reference. Bring us your bread thieves.
always fun to hear the Poms break out into a chant when they are getting smashed at Cricket in Australia. In unison they would chant 3 to 1, 3 to 1, 3 to 1......Bragging about their exchange rate. Now of course it would be 2 to 1......So I guess they will just have to go back to the convict rap.
