I dont blame people for voting for them. The white working class have been basically airbrushed out of History in parts of London and are totally ignored as a group. Some parts of central London are not even remotely recognisable as part of Europe.... more like Talibanestan...

I am married to a woman who is member of a minority group and and engage in freaky behaviour barely accepted by anyone.

My vote will never go to any party that may potentially mess with my shit in this respect.

From my small amount of political knowledge, I've always got the impression that many of the 'right' leaning parties couldn't be trusted not to ruin my buzz...

Hey, have the BNP got a banner on the forum?

Seriously, I'm no BNP supporter - but the British political parties have only themselves to blame for the rise of BNP support.  Current government completely clueless on Immigration.  If someone '??' arrives in    ....  they are told to report back to a clearance centre in a few days time ...  or a few years ... or WTF?  No monitoring, no compulsion, no appearance.   No f***ing idea.   And we wonder why they can't even count how many illegals are in the UK, let alone kick them out.

A couple of countries come to mind who have been criticised for their approach to uninvited .. err 'refugees' ...  and I congratulated a taxi driver in Sydney on one such example.  He was highly embarrassed, and said he thought his government were a bit hard.

I won't vote for BNP, but I will vote for 'a bit hard'.   Does all that make me a racist?

The BNP are likely to win 8% of the national vote in June at the European elections. This means that they will be allocated several seats in the European parliament.

Most of these votes will be from the traditional working class who would normally vote for the Labour (Socialist) party. Those people who dismiss the BNP as a bunch of right wing fascists need to explain why their main support comes from working class people who you would assume would normally support a left of centre party.

Their policies are supported by several million people in England (they get no support on the Celtic fringe of the UK where immigration is much less of a problem). Just walk into any pub on any day of the week and many political discussions will indirectly support the views of the BNP.

I live in an affluent leafy suburb where seeing someone from an ethnic minority is a rarity. I work in a nearby town and educational institution where more than 30% of the population is from immigrant families. I see at first hand the problems caused by the high level immigration policy of our Government.

I would never in a million years vote for the BNP but I do accept that a democratic country needs parties of both the extreme right and left to keep the mainstream parties on their toes. For mainstream parties to ignore the problems caused by high levels of immigration to England can only lead to the rise of extremism.

yes,i am afraid so,not so noticeable where i live(on the south coast england near brighton

but i am well aware of london as i visit and work there sometimes,...........i hate the place a horrible city.
other parts of the uk are overflowing with non british people,in fact some parts we are outnumbered.this stinks, years of non control over immigration and virtually no border controls............just turn up here on a visa and disappear, then get a tax number and free nhs and social housing and unemployment cash. meanwhile many brits are struggling, and discriminated against. people forget this is such a tiny island, fuck me you can drive across its widest point in around 7 hours or less.it is overcrowded and creaking at the seams.
as i have grown older i have witnessed the steady diluting of "british"
nowadays british people do not feel wellcome in their own country,we are viewed with suspicion and contempt by our government, our rights eroding fast, yet those entering our borders are afforded care, rights and " come over and bomb the shit out of us if you like" attitude............................many many brits i know feel this way,and tell me they are not happy with how things are and are going, this is not the states nor is it eastern europe in both places vast areas of land are available and cross border culture has allways been the norm .
just my rant .........but make what you will of the bnp ,labour etc....................but something should change, and i understand why many people give bnp a second look.............because if nobody else will do whats needed.............what do you do sit back and say" oh well may as well just not bother".................................................. .....whould have been good if Winston churchill said that wouldnt it? no.

Thats easy to explain , their policies are simplistic and appeal to the base fears of the working class , what they do not offer however is an alternative , they offer only hatred and scape goating of minorities .

And don't be fooled by the argument put across by the BNP that they are merely nationalists and not facists , this is a policy adopted by the extreme right through out Europe to appear more respectable and gain electoral support , Le Pen used the same tactic in France and then in power started denying the holocaust .

Thankfully these nutters will never hold real power in the UK , they will however grow in times of recession as they blame imigrants for every ill in society .

If the BNP were elected to government democracy would be abandoned , a one party dictatorship established and websites like this banned .

Like ladyboys ? Well that would be subversive activity , inter race relationships are forbidden , homosexuality banned , their mentor Adolph Hitler sent gays to the gas chambers with a big pink star on their coats .

The working class of the UK do need a real party to represent them (Labour certainly don't ) the BNP will never be that party .
Free your mind and your ass will follow .

Extremist group, be it far left or far right only thrive when times are tough. They latch on to populist ideas and them use them to their own means.

Unfortuantley the Labour government has just about rode the UK into the ground and the Tories have some wishy washey leader who promises everything then stands for nothing.

I think this policy of both Labour and the Tories of ignoring the BNP is just giving them more supporters. Instead they should be thrown into the spotlight and exposed for the Charlatans they really are. Apart from that KL pretty much hit it staight on the head.

                        God post Jim

All you hear is who and what they hate and what is wrong with the world. All negative and nothing positive. Fear, uncertainty and doubt.

I don't even live in the UK and I still shudder to think of them gaining control of any local councils

I'd like to hear from Stogie again.

Do you truly vote for them? (when did you last vote in a UK election?)

Did you really pay to join?

Will your brown, transexual girlfriend be joining you in a rally in Oldham?

Normally, I don't give a damn when you say something controversial to generate some chatter. But I am interested in knowing about this one

I know fuck-all about British politics, but I do know veiled fascist rhetoric when I hear it. We have those same cunts here in the U.S. and their mouthpiece is "Faux News."

"Will your brown, transexual girlfriend be joining you in a rally in Oldham?"

Excellent question Bigmick22. Somehow I suspect that the knuckle draggers at the rally would be less than pleased with the appearance of a transgendered Thai in their midst.
