Well Smut...don't know if you are smoking too much or what but CNN has it a little differently...http://www.cnn.com/ELECTION/2008/calculator/

Save your right wing references for somebody who is really right wing...because I am not and the continued reference really shows your true colors.

I suppose now you will call CNN right wing too...must be sour grapes 'cause Michigan's football team sucks this year...

What point are you trying to make? CNN's default projection has 264 electoral votes for Obama and about 174 for McCain. Just one swing state breaking for Obama pushes him over 270.

      POL
Retired the top 12.  Need a new dirty dozen.

Update: The new list is coming together: Nong Poy, Anita, Nok, Gif, Liisa Winkler, Kay, Nina Poon.  Is it possible to find 5 more?  Until then, GGs:  Jessica Alba, Yuko Ogura, Zhang Ziyi, Maggie Q, and Gong Li.

Although they have the worst record in the Big Ten, they get to play that powerhouse Toledo this week. I'm sure by the end of the year that they'll be above Indiana in the final standings.

My point was that 538.com has the electoral projection at 346 to 191 whereas CNN has it 264 to 174. I would not call a 5% win in popular vote a landslide. I would not even call it a mandate. I don't even think that the voting percentage will hit 50%. I think voters are lukewarm about both candidates. In 1972, Nixon won over McGovern 508 to 17; in 1984 Reagan beat Mondale 525 to 13 and won the popular vote by 18%. There is no doubt that Obama will win but not by a landslide.

When i said that America needs Obama . I was thinking that with him a the wheel , the worlds view on America would be more conciliatory . Most countries around the have a extreme dislike of America and Americans ( whether its an unfounded or an uneducated view ) its still prevent in most countries . Obama as President could possible be seen as a symbolic accord for peace and stability .

Obviously the main concern at the moment is the economy , I can't see a guy who's something like 75 years old coming to terms with this and being able to put a plan in place that would see America regain its foot hold in the worlds economy . If Mcain gets in , then in four years you'll have an eighty year old president and if he goes for a second term he'll be something approaching 85 . Sorry but i could not even entertain this . Especially with his red neck side kick and the ramifications if something would to happen to him , ie health problems

I'm not saying that Obama is the answer either , I watched both the debates and found that both candidates were not the brightest bulbs i have heard . Were's the passion gone , its like both candidates are to intimidated about saying something wrong that they cant enunciate even the simplest of questions.

As for polling , I dont think they ever get it right . bit like the weather Bureau.

My point is oh myopic one is that every poll this side of Faux news has Obama within one state of the victory.

As far as a "landslide" is concerned a victory by 2 is a victory nonetheless and the right will be just as devastated as they would be if they lost 538-0 especially the bubbas south of the mason dixon

And to bring Michigan and/or college football into the arguement shows the lameness of your beloved right wing party. Just like the pathetic Bill Ayers references by the Alaskan Malumutt. And to indicate that for some reason I would turn my back on the Wolverines as you seem to already have done with your beloved reich wing because they are rebuilding their program is again not only pathetic but pitiful as well.

I see "eyemahk" has emerged from his "libertarian" hole to make a put in his 2 cents worth. Well here is your change from those 2 cents Mr eye....did you know that when Ex Grand Dragon of the Klan ran for the Senate in Louisiana he ran under the Libertarian party ticket.......
