Elliot Spitzer, the Governor of New York State has been linked to a high end prostitution ring according to the New York Times and CNN, while he was staying at a Washington D.C. hotel..

He is married with three daughters.

According to the news sources the Governor is expected to resign possibly as early as this afternoon.

British politicians have been messing about with prostitutes since the year dot. Despite the hypocitical moral outcry they rarely lose their jobs.

It's accepted that the President keeps a mistress  -  even to the point that the state tacitly pays for her apartment and she gets to use the official cars.

The Prime Minister sometimes has to supply the appartment for his mistress but she gets to use the cars - or she gets the apartment and no cars.
It depends how popular and how much influence they have.

The other politicians get various other kickbacks for their 'bits on the side'.

The only time the press bothers to print anything is when they go too far.


In the UK ours usually just seem to set out to make total fools of themselves and usually succeed.

I hear what you're saying Snick but I like that he took on Greenberg, Grasso, and various other scumbags. I think the average citizen is better off due to the efforts of Client #9.

The talking heads are all saying how could Spitzer do something so stupid. The real stupidity is a man setting up his life in such a way that he can't have sex with women, men, or ladyboys half his age.
