You are so right dd ...

Hey fellas ... need some help here.

I'll be leaving in about 4 weeks for LOS, taking Cathy Pacific. I've decided to stay in BKK for a couple of extra more days at the end.

I've already changed my hotel reservation for this, no problem - the Majestic Grande was very accommodating. BUT - I still have to change my air ticket in BKK (if i do it in BKK it's free, if I do it here it'll cost me $200 - western capitalism at it's best).

Does anyone know where the BKK office for Cathy Pacific is. I've got an address but have no idea where it is or how to get there. Can't find a decent map either.

    Address:
        11th Floor
        Ploenchit Town
        898 Ploenchit Road
        Pathumwan District

If anyone can help, that would be great.

There in Ploenchit Tower not Town. It's a big building with lots of businesses in there.

Sukhumvit road becomes Ploenchit Road. You can get there by Sky Train. See the map below.

Well I fly pretty much non-stop for my job.

The worst in the world are any airline based in the US for all round and especially service at the airports.

The worst seats are with Thai airways, and I have over a million miles with them. I say that with painful experience.

The best airlines are Singapore, Gulf, Emirates. They do almost everything perfectly, with Singapore having consistently hot looking stewardesses. Not accidentally, they consistently rate No.1, 2, 3. I don't think Singapore Airlines has a plane over 2 years old, and I have never seen an ugly stewardess.

To meet your long lost mum and gay father, try Air Canada, who consistently hire old women, and gay old men (and I'm Canadian!).

For worst food, it could be Korean Airlines, where the waft of kimchi in the plan will make you puke.

For pretty much worst all round, in every respect, Air India might be up there, right next to Pakistani Airlines.

Hey what about China Air, Jal and Eva

China Air has the lowest prices from the US (LA)
Jal the best TV, etc. Nice Thai ladys on the last leg

Eva is very hit and miss, just hearing they made the seating even smaller, fuck them

Any of you China Air guys ever use your miles on Delta? I'm trying to boojk a trip on Delta to Brazil using 50K China Air miles. Have Atlanta to Brazil confirmed but am waitlisted from New York to Atlanta.

Any tips about the China Air FF program?

Is this on the return leg Ziggy?

Nothing to do with being topped by well-hung ladyboys I suppose

Must admit I didn't notice the seats on Thai airways were uncomfortable, too busy looking at the stewardesses and thinking of LOS

My flights all originate from Portland, Oregon. The only airline I know of with a direct trans Pac flight out of PDX is Northwest to Tokyo. Not having to fly up or down the west coast to SFX or SeaTac, etc, before crossing the big pond will save about 8 hours of travel time, coming and going combined. After 60k miles on NW, World Perks members earn a free ticket. So fly 4 round trips pdx/bkk and the 5th one should be free.
IMO, what ever airline one uses, it is best as much as possible to stick with just one and build up some miles. JD uses NW, so I'm in good company with my choice.

I've used EVA before and I like them, if I were basing out of SFX or SeaTac, I'd use them. Leave on a red eye and get to bkk at mid day is perfect. I just do not like the hops up or down the coast from pdx. Seems like I'm usually waiting in Seattle for 4-5 hours on average each direction.

Another thing in EVA's favor is along with Qantas, I think EVA has no passenger fatalities in their history. I do not believe they are as old an airline for years in the biz, but their safety record looked excellent. The other Taiwan airline, China Air, has one of the worst safety records.
I'm in their Evergreen Club, or whatever they call it. but I also think they require more than 60k miles for a free ticket which is one more reason for me to like NW.

Does anyone know of an airline that requires less than 60k miles for a free ticket?

I don't know any airlines that are less than 60K from the US a to the LOS but theres lots of easy ways to get mileage without flying. I've gotten more than 60K Star Alliance miles without flying.

with EVA i believe that's 60,000 miles PER LEG of your trip. for example, lax-bkk changes planes in taiwan. the 60k miles will get you lax-taiwan. after that i guess you have to swim.
                                but i do like eva.
just gots to pay your money many times before it pays anything back.
