Dont know if ya noticed but Portugal didnt score a goal on a penalty kick during regualation nor did they even attempt one.   So Portugal cheated becasue Ronaldo tried to sell the foul to the ref or because he got pushed.    YAWN.

Nobody flops more than Henry and he did it again against Portugal by jumping after his foot was barely clipped.   Anyone see the France-Spain game?  Henry was a professiona flopper in that game.  Maybesome of you are Arsenal fans and have your blinders on and hate Ronaldo because he plays for Man U.

Funny thing nobody is mentioning that Italy flopped their way to the finals...just ask Australian fans.

I don€™t subscribe to what most Australians are thinking. I don€™t believe we were robbed. We never had it won in the first place.

Back to the penalty. It was a 50 50. Some times they pay them some times they don€™t. The referee was quick and decisive to point to the spot.

Remember Grosso already dodged one player and was trying to position himself to get to a better shot at goal.

It was unfortunate as it was a clumsy early tackle by Lucus Neil who was our best player. Grosso should never have been allowed new 18yard box at that time of the game. Neil laid a clumsy early tackle.

Grosso claims he did not dive. Video and photo frames are inconclusive.

My take is that with 10 men and the game heading into extra time why would Grosso risk been sent off especially when he was diagonally in front of the ref. Don€™t forget the Italians were one of the firsts to penalize diving in Serie A.

Obviously FIFA didn€™t think much of it as the ref got to referee a quater final as well.

It suits Australian soccer to maintain the line the ref fucked up and then Grosso dived. This is only serves to mask some of the fuckups that occurred it the match. Like why was there only one sub make in 90 minutes especially since the Italians had already exhausted their bench. Lack of power up front. Not taking advantage of playing against 10 men. Guus is a great coach and was good for Australia. But he was out coached that night.

What€™s more ridiculous is a bit of boasting how we could have gone on to beat Ukraine and made the semi-finals. We hello but the records are going to show we won one drew one and lost two. And we talk about how we would have made the semis.

And I don€™t buy that talk how we dominated Italy. Italy was better than us in the first half. And sure we had more play in the second half and we €œdominated€. Big fucking deal. The Italians let us. That€™s how they want it. They don€™t care about the spectacle when they are down to 10 men. They were still convinced they could win in 90 minutes. It was a matter of them making the most of any half chance they got. Otherwise they were happy to let us have possession. See players and coaches quotes in fifa.yahoo.com. We were looking forward to extra time.

My point is let us not be fooled that cheating and diving decides matches. There is a lot more out there. Sure it happens and should be stamped out. But let€™s not get convinced that every penalty is a conspiracy theory.

As Australians we should learn about the football lesson we got and move on. Otherwise we are going to fuck up the Asian cup which I will disappointed if we lost and risk qualification for 2010.

Great Match lastnite, I think the score line was slightly unfair but the germans definatley deserved to win.. All of the goals were good however they were all Petits fault Game was however marred by the BITCH Ronaldo falling all over the place.... The boy confuses me... Well done the Germans, as was said b4 they have made alot of friends this year as they carried and conducted themselves like gents.... Roll on the Final
