Great World cup overall. Congratulations Italy. Either team would have been worthy winners. Though the Italians were the most consistent and better tream throught the tournenment.

The final was only the natural ending of a poor championship. I didn't care anymore who makes it. Both team haven't impressed me at all..... and finally the Zidane incident..... how stupid can somebody be??
The Germans were for the first time a real pleasant surprise and an excellent host. Argentina was for me the best team. Brazil, England, the Dutch, ....
All this tactical bullshitting. I still see sport as an entertainment for the masses and I don't feel entertained by billionaires who underperform and cheat because of tactical issues. First of all it's a show and I don't care who wins as long as they keep me entertained!

I thought the play was mediocre at best. i think this was the lowest or 2 nd lowest scoring Cup of all time. The standard of reffing was absolute shit!!! However it imporved slightly as the tourney went on. no way that was a pen yesterday and I thought Grosso's dive to deny the Ozzies was disgusting!!!

I have supported the Red's for 39 years now, and follwed them home and away throughout  the 70's, 80's and 90's when we only won the  odd FA cup, that is until Fergie wielded his magic wand

I was lucky enough to be in the right place at the right time when landing a job at Old Trafford to carry off injured players just before  the Euro 96 tournament in England, and my job there is to watch the match and get paid 50 quid a game for doing it

But the best time for me was when I went on United's pre-season tour of the Far East  in 2001 from which I first discovered my now beloved   and after several more visits my present g/f 

For that I will be eternally grateful to them

i just watched the replay of this world cup final. what a boaring crap game football has turned into. the only thing talked about is the french idiot headbutting an italian> in my day that was not a head but a head but hit you clear on the bridge of the nose.Do it properly and the reciprant wont need to take a dive.

I almost regretted posting that message mr Beef as it might have been misconstrued. It almost impossible to pick up tongue in cheek posts on the internet.
