I know there are some Trek fans here. I'm looking for some help from those who feel they know the movies well, specifically the old cast.
I'm working on a project that is a Jungian analysis of the four main characters as the four Jungian personality archetypes.
1) Kirk - The SP (sensing perceiver). The Artisan.
The swashbuckling, quick witted decision maker. The warrior, protector, action oriented. Like Teddy Roosevelt. The Lion, with courage and the ability to act.
2) Scotty - The SJ (sensing judger). The Guardian.
The infrastructure, the foundational provider. Makes sure everything works, and will toil tirelessly to provide for the others. The ant to others grasshopper. Creates a safe and functional place where others can do their work. Like George Washington. Like Dorothy, values of home and family.
3) Bones - The NF (intuitive feeler). The Idealist.
A healer and uniter. Like Abraham Lincoln, reconciling the nation that was torn apart. Healing through transformative suffering. Empathetic and centered on people and equality, egalitarianism. The Tinman, with a heart of feeling.
4) Spock - The NT (intuitive thinker). The Rational.
Genius mastermind. Theoretician and analyst. Prophet and visionary. Polymath, like Thomas Jefferson. The Scarecrow, a mind for solving problems.
What I'm looking for is specific scenes from the movies that you think really show examples of these characters embodying these character types.
