I too served in the military (in two combat zones) and at the time I thought I was doing the right thing. If I had known the world would turn into muslim loving fags I would noty have bothered.

I do not drink beer but would definitely be grateful for a soda if we ever meet. I have nothing against alcohol -- I just never drank or use illegal drugs. I use to volunteer to be designated driver while in the military -- had more fun than the heavy drinkers. I use to have a Thai girlfriend in the late 70's back near Fort Bragg who use to smoke "wacky backy" -- loved it -- made her horny as hell.

Sangabrial probably has little to none real life experience. His comments reminds me of those clowns I see wearing Che Guevara t-shirts. Half of them probably do not know that Che was a crony of Castro. Everytime I see a Che t-shirt I think about how he was hunted down by troops trained by Special Forces (American Special Forces) and eliminated before he was able to "cause revolution" in a peaceful third world country. Yes the USA (or USO) has done a lot of offensive things. It also helped kicked the Nazi's out of Europe and stopped the rampaging Japanese in Asia and the Pacific.

The point I was trying to make about not being able to challenge people to duels is simply -- people do not respect each other anymore because there is no repercussions for being disrespectful to people. If there was the likelihood of half of the "superior" (in their minds) snobs being called out to pistols at 15 paces or knives at 3 then they would suddenly become more respectful of the working man.

This country is full of retirees, disabled, and others who do minor jobs (like greeters at Wal-marts). I treat each one of them like they may have been a general in their youth -- until they act differently. I know a retired Command Sergeant Major with 27 years in the military, who subsequently retired from being a state probation officer after 22 years, who has a Masters' Degree in Education WHO WORKS AS A SECURITY GUARD. It amazes me when he tells me how he is treated by some of the factory workers he deals with.


Anyway, Stogie -- I give respect until respect is denied me. Then its "keep cool - let the poor dumb bastard live for he knows not what he is doing."

I love the forum. It gets the blood boiling.

i carry because of where i have to travel. its sad am in the USA and i worry more about the idiots here then i do over seas. where the news idiots tell us its dangeous. am safer in other countries then my own.

but even over seas i am always on guard and will not let some one get a drop on me. its been few but i have had a few attempted muggings over seas.

2 bad muggings in the USA houston specificly in both cases it was my fault for not being ready.
1 attack was beaten so bad i was put in the hospital near death. my own mom did not reconize me.
2 attack broken nose
both cases were in nice areas and both were for something i had, car, money leather jacket.

in asia it was mostly young kids who thought i was a easy target, because i was drunk. they all ended up on the payment. by weapons in other countries it can be anything i have in my hand. from a umbrella that i used to beat the hell out of 2 kids 16-19 yrs old with.

to some cross pens i used before. on another kid that wanted my wallet.

all cases i was not messing with people nor making any coments to any one. i was picked out followed and attacked.

once you end up in the hospital for a beating so bad your mom crys you will understand this attidued.
i don't disrespect anyone. but there god better help them if they try some stupid shit with me and direspect me in that way.

by my own beliefs am peaceful and don't wish to harm anyone or cause any harm to any one. i give people a basic respect that they are humans and have their own beliefs and ideas. but i want the same in return.

I loved the CHE G. as Mickey pic. I will print that one off and see if I can get it on a t-shirt or light jacket.

I conceal carry a firearm because:

- its a requirement of my job.

- the nature of my current job makes not only myself but my family a potential target - thus I carry when off duty.

- my prior service resulted in by name bounty's being placed on me by some rather disreputable South American dealers of recreational products.

- my 14 YO was targeted for kidnapping when she was still an infant (in Central America).

- my prior extradition experience also result in death threats (US prison system notorious about releasing "rehabilitated" felons early).

- latest FBI crime stats show that even though overall crime is down in the USA violent crime is up over 4%.

Never give an edge to an enemy that they don't already have.

Afterall, you are not paranoid if they "really are" out to get you.

I seem to have missed something here......    Billy starts a thread about respect and somewhere along the line a bunch of cowboys show up and start firing their revolvers off.

OK  -  I admit that my work makes me very tired recently and I sometimes miss things  -  but what happened here

This type of respect doesn't seem to be working. The murder capital of the world is Detroit or Washingtion. They are always no.1 or no.2. The country with the most homicides involving firearms in the world is always, always the US.

I only suggest you don't bring your arms to Thailand. They have no place here, thankfully. We love LBs not guns.
