As for religion I made my feeling quite clear on the other thread. I hate it but when people say they don't like what's happening with Islam people always chuck but, yeah what about the crusades. They were 400 fucking years ago. What about the Moor invasion of Spain? do europeans get fucked off over that no. Stop trying to play the victim and get on with life.

Why does Islam cause friction where ever it goes be it with Christians in Dafur, Buddists in Thailand, Catholics in the Philipines and aetheists in China. Why did Islam give birth to shit nations like Iran, Iraq, Afghanistan, Saudi Arabia where as Christianity gave us western civilisation?

Every religion does have it's nutters. However the biggest casue of lose of life in the 20th century was commnism. An atheist principle. Unfrotuatrly elimimating god doesn't eliminate the problem. Actually, I think we do, we're only shitting on each other for the fun of it on a forum. No one in his right mind likes extremists of any denomination. Bickering on historical facts is a bit pointless.

All that being said, what do we do about it? It seems the idea of democracy in the west just doesn't work in handling hatred and fanatics.

Actually the first Crusade started in 1095, nearly 1000 years ago.
As for Communist evil being linked to atheism, as one and the same, you are totally incorrect.This is a common tool used by religion to try and denigrate atheism.Yes it was/is quite common that these people try and disband the established religions, as they did during the French Revolution ( long before Communism) but atheism is not linked with any political philosophy and never has been.It merely seeks to advance society within the frameworks of law,science,democracy and all of the things we are familiar with in Western society.
Don't forget that Hitler was a lapsed Catholic, Mussolini was a Catholic, Franco was a Catholic, Joseph Stalin studied to be a priest.Not to mention the long list of Catholic dictators from Latin & South America.

As for Atheism / communism. Was just playing devils advocate.
