As Stogie said, all fundamentalists are dimwits, of all religions. But thinking Islamists are worse than Christians, is a bit naive. The only difference is that they are doing it in a century in which we live. Christians have a much, much longer history of killing anyone who disagreed with them.

There was no wife involved Billy. Able was Gods chosen one, (supposedly the Messiah was supposed to come from his bloodline) And Cain gets pissed off at Able being favored by God, and offers sacrifices to God (to try and get on his good side) which he rejects out of hand. So Cain takes Able into a field and murders him so he can be the chosen one. Later, God asks Caine "Where's Able" and he replies "Am I my brother's keeper?" He's the branded and chucked out into the Land of Nod. Seth is born as a replacement for Able.

BTW, I think, and can quote, the Koran, on equally stupid passages. The point is that they are all bad. No one has moral superiority over another. The Islamic fundamentalists have the lead now on public actions perhaps. But Christians had it before in a much bigger way, and for a longer period. So who has it next? Christians? Hindus? Buddhists? As long as religions detest the existence of each other, one will pour evil on the other.

Ziggy, I have not made any claims to any particular historical knowledge. I am a simple guy who makes observations of events in the real world of today; my posts above did not do justice to history as yours have. My observations about the murders performed in the name of Islam are superficial; next time I see innocent people beheaded, I should mention, as you have eloquently done, that fat gasbag Falwell's claim after 9/11, or the papist Eric Rudolph who's serving time after being on the lamb for bombing abortion clinics 10 years ago. The next time the Mohammedans set off a bomb, we should invoke the crusades and other evils performed by homoerotic christ on a cross worshippers. It is better if innocent secularists who abhor jesusisms, like ourselves, just self-flagellate the next time there is an Islamist murder, by mentioning actions done by christians before we were born. You are correct that devotees of christ have been killing people for longer than the Dervishes, but of course Christianity predates Islam by about 700 years. Your professing of knowledge is indeed impressive and I commend you for being so fair as to trash a religion we both hate, christianity, for its history of brutality, to be fair to Islam.

This young lady and teacher was just murdered this afternoon in Yala.

Perhaps you can find the time to flesh her out in the morgue and educate her about various historical injustices as they relate to her situation.

69billy has it right - this is a ladyboy forum, and though the fishbox is for discussing anything else, bashing religions of any kind never solve anything. If publicizing the evil the current bunch of Islamic fanatics have done, on a LB forum solves the problem, then you probably are deluding yourself.

Atrocities abound world wide - what is happening in the Sudan is probably as bad or worse than what the Islamic extremists are doing, and what about the past horrors in Burundi, Bosnia, Serbia, Croatia, Sierra Leone, etc, etc, etc.? You choose to focus on what is happening now with the Muslim extremists - the past atrocities are no less horrible. The crimes that Ziggy mentioned about past "Christian" atrocities are no less terrible than what is going on now.

Evil has no monopoly on a particular religion or race. So what can be done? I for one encourage those Muslims who disagree with the extremists and it is only they who can sway the others not to follow the path of hate. As long as outsiders expound hate against the Muslim extremists it gives them more ammunition to justify their cause and recruit more crazies.

As I started this thread, it's time to put a few things straight.
Yes, all religious observance is ridiculous, dogmatic and nonsensical.On this we just about all agree.However my thread is not about one religion versus another, it is about what action is being taken against hostile foreigners against whom many Countries have committed their forces ,being able to set up shop within the very Countries that are dieing for Afghanistan & Iraq.Also the Euro surrender policy in the face of the extremist threat.
Is there anyone out there that is in favour of the Taliban controlling even one Mosque in the whole of Europe, or anywhere in the World for that matter?
Is there anyone who agrees that extremists should control 600 places where they can further pollute the minds of the stupid, the criminal, the hopeless fool?
Is there anyone who agrees that the history and culture of any Country should be under threat from barbarians?
Islam is an all pervasive lifestyle, carefully created by Muhammed, ( the Koran being dictated to a goatherder) in order to keep people busy on their prayer mats 5 times a day and regardless of the historicval evils of Christianity it has been shaped and changed by Western societies, over 2000 years, to be the directionless, fragmented rabble of today .The Romans started the Christian era and just continued with the same zeal in putting their opposition to the sword ,as they had done for hundreds of years before.Yes Christianity was part of this, but violence was everywhere back then.You couldn't trust your relatives in the Dark Ages,Medieval times or even until fairly recently in most of Europe.
Yes there are a few nutters out there, on the fringes, but this is miniscule compared to the huge percentage of Muslims that are happy to see acts of murder being perpetrated against the West .
We are talking about what is happening now.
