Upon a re-read, the tone of my original post was all wrong. My point is that you are a smart professional girl and you're admitting to having unprotected sex based on how a guy looks.

When the Argentinians invaded the Falklands the US gave the UK lots of help with intelligence, refueling and access to stores and supplies.

The US government did help with intelligence against the IRA but most of the US public thought that the IRA were 'freedom fighters'
Do some homework and see what sort of freedom fighters Jerry Adams and Martin McGuiness really are.
If they lived in most countries they would have been executed for crimes like murder and conspiracy years ago!

As for the US entering WW2  -  to give FDR his due he realised that the US could not stay out.
Most of the US public thought (unrealistically) that the US could ignore the rest of the world and it would go away - nothing new there then!
FDR was doing everything to help the UK short of declaring war before Pearl Harbour.

The UK and Comonwealth could have won on Churchill's terms  -  'Give us the weapons and we will win'  -  but it would have taken many many more years for the UK and the Russians to have worn the Nazi's down without the help of the US.

The main reason I come to this forum is to read about people's adventures, see some pics etc.  I do not come here to hear about who is HIV positive.  We are all grown up and I know that everyone who engages in sex with a LB understands the danger involved if you have unprotected sex.  I don't think given up names will do anything as you would never be able to prove anything and will really not stop people from doing what they want to do.  If I want to read stories about people who are HIV + I will go elsewhere not here.  I enjoy checking out the latest updates on the forum daily and stuff like this in my opinion does not belong here and just puts a big cloud over the forum.

If you check your history, you will find that the Americans were giving the British tanks, planes, bombs and bullets long before Pearl Harbor was bombed.

Hello Gart,

Yes you are entirely correct  -  but there are a couple of things that modify the UK perception.

The UK was alone fighting the Germans from the fall of France in June 1940 until the Germans attacked Russia in June 1941.

The battle that stopped the Germans in their tracks was fought in the skies over England between mid July 1940 and the end of October 1940  -  the Battle of Britain.
If the UK had lost that then the US would possibly have been on their own against Germany, Italy, Romania and eventually Japan.
I doubt that the US could have won if that had come to pass  -  even with the help of the British Empire that some US politicians seemed so hell bent on dismantling.
