Very nice Dieter. I still use XP and have heard similar pros and cons from friends here in Nor Cal who use Vista. It always seems to take some time and a few uploaded fixes from Microsoft before their operating systems work correctly. It seems that Vista is at least starting off with fewer problems than previous operating systems from Microsoft. At least Vista is not the disaster that Millenium was....

Just got my new laptop, ended up getting a sony vaio vgn-n38z with 160g hard drive and 2g ram, with windows vista and so far so good, vista is ok, some nice features.

Can i change my vote?

I vote for XP because it's what I have on my home computer but running XP Pro, Windows NT4 server, Windows 2000 server, Linux and SCO Unix at work. I currently building a new computer for home and I will run Windows Vista Ultimate on a Intel Quad Core with 4 Gig of RAM and 2 X 250 Gig drives in RAID 0.

My new sony has Vista fitted as standard, and i must say i like it for now.

I just got the new imac, and I FUCKING LOVE IT!!!!!
Before I got the mac I had been using PCs with windows os. They sucked! I can't believe I put up with those annoying things for as long as I did.
I'm not a computer guy who likes to fuck around with these things. I just need them to work and do what I want. The mac does just that, the PCs I had did not. It was always one damn thing after another with the PCs with windows.
Good riddance to my PIECE OF SHIT PC and all MS products, I have no use for them.
BTW, I think my imac looks totally bitchen. I love the slightly kitchy, 70's modern look.
