The perversity is that there is nothing Christian about Christmas, or Easter for that matter!

What do Santa Claus, presents, trees, yule logs, bunnies, eggs or other symbols of the Winter Solstice or Spring Equinox have to do with either of those pagan holy days usurped by the early Church? Everything!

In one sense, atheists do more to honor any god who may or may not exist by denying the existence of an all-powerful, all-knowing, all-good being who simultaneously tolerates evil !

I cannot look at a painting of Jesus and help but think the artist must have been kind to ignore the Kaposi's lesions. What else to think when confronted with the image of a young, unattached, emaciated, sickly-looking man with long blond hair staring longingly at his mother??
