Juri, Thanks for making my 1st trip so great ,even if we only got to hang out for a few days it was definitely worth being in the presence of a rock star, last i remember was being in marine disco on WS and then the next day Dom told me you were off to the PI and it looks like your time was well spent Hope to cross paths again in the future as you really showed me the way in BKK and Pattaya.

greetings from angeles city, the sister of pattaya.....
Its a lot easier to stay there forever without doing any visa runs. They just stamp a 21 day entry on your arrival and just go to a travel agent, pay a small fee and get a 59 day extension (renewable forever). Not to mention you can get a lot more for your dollar and people speak english, well their version of english! Some grammar will make your head spin.
But yes its nice to see it on the map as an alternative. I know it quite well from a retiree's perspective but never saw it from a mongering perspective (for lb's). Will be interesting to see some BM's map it out for the lb and vacation side. If you're over 50, look into S.R.R.V.
P.S. once again, great reporting Juri.
Maybe I sound insensitive but its not the case at all. I do care! But if I had to live my whole life based on how everyone might be sensitive to me.. I would not be living my life as I want it. So you can accept me and my flaws as I am or you can't.

I believe you can also legally work there a damn site easier than in Thailand as well.
I was looking to buy a small business there 3 years ago, and there were far, far less of the work permit/visa run issues compared to Thailand.
After seeing some of those photos above, I might have to look into that again!

Are you sure on that? I know some American retirees who have lived there for several years. One told me that after doing the 59 day extensions for a year, he had to do a visa run. From what he said, he does one per year.
Also the 59 day extensions are not cheap compared to Thailand visas. As I recall what I paid for a 38 day and then a 59 day extension combined, I could pay for a 1 yr retirement visa in Thailand.
