Lidia's hair has extensions FYI. Was the reason she had it so short have anything to do with her getting a free haircut by the Thai Penal system?

However Juri was soon in a spot of bother when he found his schedule clashed with another he had promised to meet. Like the gentleman he is, he presented Pla to me with his blessing. I had big shoes to fill but while she may have missed out on Juri, I felt I had won the lottery.

However Pla decided that nothing was going to happen that night & I sent her packing without payment. It was only after I talked with her some time that I realised she was the same girl. This year there was no nonsense. Is there such a thing as revenge sex? Who cares? She was good.

I for one would not hesitate to call tourist police to sort out the problem

i dont care how low low season is this year - if you let people get away with scams they will keep doing them.

If im ripped off 2000 baht+ , ill make an issue of it - its a matter of doing it in a level headed way.

Ive had mates who have had guns pulled on them in Patpong as they have gone about it the wrong way and i know of stories of a simple phone call to police that changes the attitude of these scammers. Same approach will work in Pattaya.

You are right, somebody will pay, but lets face it, if the negotiated setttlement is 500 baht with the bib present - then you win.

If it was 2,000 baht then I'd make a fuss... but then again I'd never let it get that far!

Pay for every drink when you order it... a lot of us have been doing this for a few years now and funnily enough... it works!

RE the free trim, I don't think so. It's been short forever -- she has naturally very thin, light brown, wavy hair -- it might just grow really slowly (maybe she's related to the one in Tequila Bar in Phuket whose nickname is "the one whose hair doesn't grow" ).

I agree.. for 17 extra bar tabs i would certainly make some issue of it and if i had to pay up at the end of the day then so bit it. Doesnt the bar have a responsible owner who can be approached. But as has been said better to walk away at the end of the day at some point... unless you want duelling scars

I wont bother going to that fucking shithole again... be sure of that.

got ripped off in Patpong2 in 1991 and the guy pulled a knife on me and a buddy but that was then and this is now.

I hope you'll reconsider - posting the minutiae IS where the magic occurs in these trip reports. That's what gives it the real "lived in" feeling that translates to a vicarious experience - at least for this reader.

The thing I love are the insights into a foreign and mysterious culture.

In trying to indulge DT & others with a few insights, I have now lost 3 posts to stupid mistakes. It serves me right trying to type in bed so fully refreshed I try again.

For vicarious writings I recommend the excellent thread by Titian on his relationship with Om. I posted on that thread I would buy her a drink. As well intentioned as I was, it wasn't my finest decision. She started to realise that a public discourse on her relationship may not be good for her income.

Hmmm, I hadn't thought this through very well so before I succumbed to her charms, I left. I wish them both the best. I will go to her birthday party & say hello to Titian. If he stays at the Penthouse again I will introduce myself beforehand.

Sitting at Pook Bar last night I was disturbed from my thoughts by a horrendous din coming down the street. Here in Pattaya there are a number of utility vehicles driving around with huge stereos installed in the tray section. I mean huge. These things are hired out as mobile advertising platforms & in that peculiar Thai way, louder is better.

Last night there were 6 of the damn things blocking Soi 6 for a good 15 minutes. Most of that time they were parked in front of Pook, much to the amusement of the girls who stopped to stare at the dancing gay boys on the back of each of them.

They were advertising a Foam Party for tonight in Soi 8. As there were only 3 farangs in Pook I asked the girl next to me who was the party for. "Everyone" she replied. I wondered at the wisdom of going to such trouble & expense when the girls can't leave for the party till after closing - 2am.

Each ute had 6 bare topped dancers standing without anything to hold onto. Highly illegal in most jurisdictions but TIT. I scanned the faces for signs of any LBs in training. They were a very average looking lot, being unappealing to both femboy lovers & gay guys. IMO. But they danced away to the thump-thump that never stopped coming from the infernal speakers set up in each vehicle.

It was a great relief when they left. That will be one party I will give a wide berth to.

One girl in Obsessions who caught my eye is the lovely Ann. She's another tall girl with great hair. That is a common theme among the Obsession dancers.

Once in my room she was keen to pose for pictures. Most LBs love to primp & preen in front of the camera & Ann kept posing as long as I was taking pictures.
