Pooky has grown up a lot since our first meeting two years ago. She is still the same little insecure girl I remember but with new funbags & being more streetwise, I think her career path is secure.

She has a wonderful smile & throws herself into her work with abandon. My time with her was less than stellar but that was my fault & I promised to see her again.

In fact she just sent me an sms, it seems she misses me...

I was sitting right alongside him when he took those pics. Billy69 was sitting on my other side...        

There is a rich vein of talent down there, not big in number but a few diamonds in the rough. I will venture back for another look.

I may even take my camera but attitudes change the moment I take it out. Snick's little wonder camera, his Canon S90 is just the biz for such occasions. The girls didn't even know the pics were being taken.

And we had earlier spotted some nice girls working in Drinking Street. That was my first visit & I was pleasantly surprised.

Paccie, she does miss you, and she misses me when I am in Pattaya (and she knows about it).

Pooky has a big heart, but as we both agree, she is just such a lovely girl.

Not just you and me DT.   As my buddy BumbleBee pointed out, odds are that there is at least one famous person, who needs to remain anonymous, that is a forum reader.

While I am not about to regale the world with a running commentary on the minutiae of my life, I am happy to mention a few things going on here now.

The bars are quiet, very quiet & bill padding is common, not surprising but still annoying. I met a nice guy who posts on LB69 as Onetruesaxon who had a bad experience at Pook Bar Soi 6 last week. I walked in for a drink in the afternoon & he introduced me to his terak, May. He met her in Pook Bar on his last trip & intended to stay with her for this trip. It would have been a nice earner for her given that some of the girls haven't been barfined for 2 months.

After I left, OTS told me later that he left the bar to buy cigarettes. When he returned he carried on a while then called 'checkbin'. I can't imagine what was going through May's mind when he checked his bill. OTS discovered that while he was out, 17 ladydrinks had been added to his bin. Fortunately for OTS, he didn't over-react, he instead put it down to experience & decided to pay it. Others here may have wanted to challenge it but I can assure you that OTS's decision was the right one.

On opening his wallet he found 2500 baht, 2 hundred less than needed. He explained that he would go to the ATM for more money. This is where May lost the plot. She demanded he leave his mobile phone as collateral & literally ordered another girl to go with him, in case he might decide not to return. OTS was decidedly unhappy about being treated like this but again, discretion prevailed & off he went.

After settling his bin, he left Pook with May to catch a baht bus. That was when he told her it was over, he gave her 100 baht, deleted his number from her phone & sent her on her way. My initial reaction on hearing his story was he should have publicly humiliated her in front of her friends & dumped her in the bar. The fact that he didn't probably saved his life or at least spared him from a good beating.

But what exacty happened here? Was May the guilty party? For treating OTS like some petty crook & having him 'frogmarched' (his words) to the ATM - yes. But for allowing 17 drinks to be added to his bin? No. There is no way she could have stopped them. There is every chance she wasn't even consulted, that the demands for drinks would have started the moment he walked out the door. The Thais would consider that May could authorise them regardless what we might think. Minor details when you are hungry & can make a few baht from the commission for a ladydrink.

OTS handled it the best possible way & all the warriors out there who think he should have flattened her or called the Tourist Police have no idea what is going on here right now. May would have had time to invent a story how she dumped him in order to save face when she returned to the bar but all the girls would have known their greed was responsible for May losing her boyfriend. And I am quite sure that her ridiculous treatment towards OTS after he discovered what happened on her watch was a reaction to the stress of knowing she was about to be dumped.

It is not a good idea to take your terak back to her bar if you aren't prepared to share the wealth. Always remember you are a farang & she is Thai. Thai Rak Thai (Thais love Thais).
