RXPharm posted about it last year (credit where it's due - this is how I found out about it)

Download Exif Viewer for Firefox. Displays the Exif and IPTC data in local and remote JPEG images.

Goddam, do the CIA know about this?

(Could this mean the end of civilisation as we know it? The final erosion of our freedom?     )

Thanks Mick & RX, what a terrific little add-on!!

Those look pretty decent, Snick... How much better is it than the Sony T100s we have?

...and does it come in Pink?

The Canon S90 is a superior low light performer to the Sony T100. Amazing what a difference 2 years make in technology!

Here are some photos Snick posted from Obsessions with the Sony T100 from 2007, judge for yourself how much better the Canon S90 is.

Would be interesting to see how it compares to the Fuji low light cameras -  F30 Fd and F31Fd which have been generally praised as some of the best low light point and shoots.

Get the new Fuji F200EXR or F70EXR. It's better than the F31fd.

I had a play with an S90 yesterday & I am suitably impressed.

For a true pocket camera, nothing comes close to the picture taking power of this thing.

It doesn't go beyond 3200 ISO but that is ample given that noise levels can be unacceptable below that.

It is only f2 at the shortest focal length - 28mm but that is a nice wide angle for taking close shots of people. And isn't that its main raison d'etre?

According to reviews on DPreview, the weakest link is a slightly loose wheel on the back adjustment ring which can easily be knocked while handling the camera.

That plus the recommendation not to bother with shooting in RAW as there is some barrel distortion that needs adjusting in Photoshop while shooting in JPEG means the camera's own software adjusts the image automatically.

I know what I would prefer.

What did surprise me was the new Ricoh GXR, a revolutionary approach to compact cameras which we are bound to hear a lot more about. The first one in town had arrived yesterday & I was offered it for only $2000...

A lot more money than the already expensive S90 (here at least) & definitely not something that will slip into your pocket.
Despite the high cost of living, it continues to be popular.
