Its not for everyone. Being a kid at heart helps a lot. My experience in BKK was quite different than Patong. Silom was too crowded and mostly Thai's, whereas Patong was mostly farangs and less crowded so it made for a better atmoshpere for me. Plus Bangla had a concentration of bars that engaged with each other.

My eye balls were bloodshot and soe after Patong as farangs go for the yes more than the Thai's. Silom seemed to have more gays and more pasting of the face.

Thanks to snick for getting the hard to get lbs on songkran photos, nice work. He really gets into as you can see. We were supposed to be going to Lad Phroa with a few lbs, but the red shirts put a real damper on that.

Gotta say, Pattaya was the most fun by a longshot

Cowboy was 2nd place, fun but small
Nana, was fun
Silom too crowded and more mechanical with people just walking past each other

Because of 'The Troubles', I did not get to Khao sarn or Lad Prao
