I was a a Red Shirt Rally on Saturday, not by intention, I was just shopping at paragon and there was a rally up in front...and me with my camera.

Fortunately it was very peaceful then, and I left before the shit hit the fan.

I'd say LB are more dangerous, at least to your sanity and your wallet.

I wish I could be there but I hope that I can join the "water-powder-battle" next year. I enjoy seeing these beauties in daytime without hundreds of tons of make-up.

I was at Silom the day before Snick, and like him a kid at heart who enjoys the songkran experience. Its not for everybody for sure. I found Silom a little to crowded for my maximum enjoyment. this leads to people exchanging fire from close quarters, and when you can't move you are a sitting duck for the inevitable bowll of Ice water down your back. Its a little annoying when a hands come at your face all day wiping the paste blessing on you.

I took Nina from Cascades for her first BKK songkran which she enjoyed until some Thai boys groped her when they did their paste blessing. It got to excessive as she tried to duck away from one who was trying to kiss on her, and I literally had to peel him off her. She wanted to go home and take hot shower after that. It was giong to get dark soon and we were cold then, and had an even colder subway ride home.

I preffered the Phuket songkran experience myself, as it is less crowded and has one main day when they block Bangla off during the day and two calmer lead up days, but is dry by April 14th. Its also a little warmer which helps with the cold blasts you will recieve.

I would to see the casuality totals on Songkran, year I was at Phuket only 2 died and both were drunk Brits, one at Kata who was hit by motorbike, and another in Patong also road accident.

I'm getting to old for these types of crowds, but would definitely do the Patong Songkran.
